Abstract

La invención apunta a una proteína Vainillil alcohol oxidasa recombinante (VAOr) que resulta de la fusión de VAO y MBP (maltose binding protein, donde la VAO utilizada es el gen vaoA del hongo Penicillium simplicissimum. Esta proteína recombinante se expresa en E. coli, es funcional, con alto rendimiento, con alta actividad enzimática, estable en una conformación dimérica, donde la cola de histidina facilita la purificación de la enzima obtenida. Útil para producción natural de vainilla a gran escala.
