Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a métodos y sistemas para la detección rápida de microorganismos en una muestra, sin realizar un cultivo de enriquecimiento del microorganismo. También se describe un bacteriófago modificado que comprende un gen indicador no nativo en la región génica tardía. El producto indicador no es una proteína de fusión. La especificidad de los agentes infecciosos permite tener como objetivo un microorganismo específico y la señal indicadora puede ser amplificada para optimizar la sensibilidad del ensayo.
