Abstract
metodo para preparar hidroxido de litio que comprende mezclar un material que contiene litio con una composicion acuosa acida que comprende opcionalmente sulfato de litio y obtener por lo tanto una mezcla, tostar la mezcla bajo condiciones adecuadas para obtener un tostado, material que contiene litio, lixiviar el material tostado bajo condiciones adecuadas para obtener una primera composicion acuosa que comprende sulfato de litio, someter la primera composicion acuosa que comprende sulfato de litio a un proceso de electromembrana bajo condiciones adecuadas para la conversion al menos parcial del sulfato de litio a hidroxido de litio y para obtener una segunda composicion acuosa que comprende sulfato de litio; e incrementar opcionalmente la concentracion de acido en la segunda composicion acuosa; y usar la segunda composicion acuosa que comprende sulfato de litio como la composicion acuosa acida que comprende opcionalmente sulfato de litio para mezclarse con el material que contiene litio y para obtener la mezcla; metodo para extraer un alcali; metodo para extraer litio
