Abstract
<p>Las instalaciones de hidroprocesamiento pueden operar durante períodos de tiempo prolongados antes de la detección de mercurio en las instalaciones de entrada, conforme el mercurio se adsorbe sobre las tuberías metálicas (100) utilizadas para transportar los fluidos de hidrocarburos, por ejemplo, gas, aguas producidas, desde los pozos hasta las instalaciones de procesamiento (“líneas de flujo"). Una vez que las tuberías (100) se “saturan” de mercurio, el mercurio aparecerá y se detectará en las instalaciones de entrada. Se describe un esquema de gestión/control de mercurio en donde se utiliza una etapa de tratamiento químico o térmico para limpiar la tubería, administrando la acumulación de mercurio en la tubería para una concentración reducida de mercurio en el fluido que sale de las líneas de flujo. El calentamiento durante la etapa de tratamiento térmico se realiza usando cualquier de un tratamiento con láser, un dispositivo de combustión o una bobina de inducción. Durante la etapa de tratamiento químico, se utiliza una solución acuosa de sulfuro que comprende al menos 0,1% en peso de un sulfuro, un polisulfuro o una combinación de los mismos.</p>
