Abstract

Extracto acuoso de células de alerce (Fitzroya cupressoides), que se obtiene de cultivos in vitro de células de alerce, donde dichas células se someten a lisis mecánica, en solvente acuoso, se centrifugan y se separa el sobrenadante que constituye el extracto de la invención. Se demostró que los extractos acuosos de alerce promueven la regeneración celular, y por ende tienen propiedades antienvejecimiento, empleando el ensayo estándar de scratch en queratinocitos, donde la mejor condición ensayada estimula hasta en un 120% la regeneración de queratinocitos sobre la condición basal (control agua). Adicionalmente se evaluó la posible toxicidad del extracto de la invención, para lo cual se estudió el efecto del extracto sobre la viabilidad de células HaCaT, determinándose que no hay efectos tóxicos sobre células humanas. Por otra parte se determinó que los extractos de la invención no potencian las células cancerígenas de la piel, al evaluar el efecto del extracto sobre células de melanoma C32. De acuerdo con lo anterior se demuestra que los extractos de la invención reúnen las condiciones necesarias para obtener formulaciones de uso farmacéutico o cosmético para el cuidado de la piel
