Abstract

En la presente se divulgan métodos y sistemas para almacenar y mineralizar dióxido de carbono en el suelo. En algunas modalidades, el método comprende agregar cal y dióxido de carbono a una columna de suelo que incluye suelo para formar suelo tratado. Después de agregar la cal y el dióxido de carbono, el método también incluye fortalecer el suelo tratado en la columna de suelo mediante la mineralización de la cal y el dióxido de carbono en la columna de suelo. El método puede incluir además agregar un aglutinante a la columna de suelo y mezclar el aglutinante con el suelo, la cal y el dióxido de carbono. El aglutinante puede incluir, por ejemplo, puzolana, cemento, material cementante y/o un producto de carbonato de calcio fabricado.
