Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con una composición de polietileno de alta densidad. La composición de polietileno de alta densidad incluye un componente de HDPE y un componente de LDPE. El componente de HDPE tiene una densidad de 0,945 a 0,960 g/cm3 y un índice de fusión (I2,16) de 0,5 a 60 dg/min. El componente de LDPE tiene una densidad de 0,900 a 0,930 g/cm3 y un índice de fusión de 5 a 100 dg/10 min. Cuando el componente de HDPE y el componente de LDPE se combinan a determinadas concentraciones, en donde la composición de polietileno de alta densidad resultante de acuerdo con las modalidades descritas en la presente puede tener anisotropía de contracción inesperada y altamente deseable y puede usarse en la formación de artículos moldeados con propiedades deseables.
