Abstract

Un método para reprimir los insectos en un lugar de cosecha o que pueden invadir un lugar de cosecha, que comprende aplicar al lugar una composición que incluye un estimulante del apetito para un insecto particular, una cantidad eficaz de un insecticida de 1-arilpirazol o nicotinilo para destruir un insecto deseado, a una concentración que no es típicamente tóxica cuando se aplica a una planta en ausencia de un estimulante del apetito y el insecto consume una cantidad ordinaria de toxina durante el curso de la alimentación normal, pero es tóxica cuando se aplica en asociación con un estimulante del apetito que hace que el insecto consuma una mayor cantidad de la toxina que la que sería consumida normalmente durante la alimentación normal.
