Abstract
Hlavolam pěstuje logická myšlení a prosto rovou představivost. The invention solves the problem of a new construction of a regular dodecahedron, which allows any face to be rotated around its center. This construction differs from the previously known construction in that its base is a sphere and not a complex cross with twelve arms. The purpose of the invention is to simplify production. The puzzle cultivates logical thinking and spatial imagination. The dodecahedron consists of one basic sphere, on which twelve central pentagons are flexibly attached, which hold thirty edge parts and twenty vertex parts, while allowing any face of the dodecahedron to be rotated without it falling apart. Every two edge parts can be replaced by rotation, and every two vertex parts can also be replaced. The outer surfaces of the individual parts are colored. The task of the puzzle solver is to reach a position in which all faces lying in the same face are colored with the same color by appropriately rotating the faces. The invention can be used as toys or as teaching aids.
Description
Vynález ee XýltÁ matematického hlavolamu, který je složen z tvarovaných částí e v sestaveném tvaru tvoří pravidelný dvanáctistěn - tj. táleso, jehož pláži sestává z dvenásti shodných pravidelných pětiúhelníků - jehož libovolnou stěnou lze otáčet kolem osy procházející středem této stíny. Vnější plochy jednotlivých částí jsou označeny různými barvami, případně čísly či jinými znaky, které umožňují dosáhnout otáčením stěnami značného počtu různých pozic. The invention consists of a mathematical puzzle consisting of shaped parts e in an assembled form forming a regular dodecahedron - i.e. a talon whose beach consists of twelve identical regular pentagons - whose arbitrary wall can be rotated about an axis passing through the center of the shadow. The outer surfaces of the individual parts are marked with different colors or numbers or other features which make it possible to achieve a considerable number of different positions by turning the walls.
Previously known mathematical puzzles of this type are variants of the puzzler which is protected by Hungarian patent No. 70,062. Another known variant is identical with the mathematical puzzler according to the invention, however, as far as the technical solution is concerned. While in the known puzzle there is a base cross and twelve arms in the center of the body, which has a complex and difficult to manufacture shape, in the puzzle according to the invention there is a ball in the center of the body which can be easily manufactured.
The mathematical puzzle according to the invention consists of a basic sphere, twelve central pentagons, thirty edge portions and twenty vertex portions. These components are assembled into a regular dodecahedron or ball or other irregular body and allow to rotate all twelve roofs around their centers.
Rotating central pentagons are flexibly attached to the base ball in twelve regularly spaced holes. Between these pentagons there are edge portions provided with protrusions which hold each edge portion by two central pentagons to prevent its separation.
The edge portions are further provided with notches in which the protrusions of adjacent apex portions fit. These protrusions prevent separation of the apex parts from the composite body. The shapes of the protrusions and protrusions make it possible to rotate the walls around their center. Each wall consists of one central pentagon, five edge portions and five apex portions that are rotatable together about the axis of the opening in which the respective central pentagon is attached. By rotating the walls, the edge parts as well as the top parts can be changed freely.
The mathematical puzzle according to the invention differs from the known ones by another technical solution of the mechanism which allows the rotation of the individual walls. It differs from other known puzzles or toys of a similar type in that it has the shape of a dodecahedron and not a cube, cuboid or tetrahedron. The main difference is that it allows rotation in twelve different planes, as opposed to six planes per cube or cuboid, or four planes per tetrahedron.
Při obervení stěn různými barvami existuje přibližně 10^ různých pozic, zatímco u krychle je těchto pozic 1θ'® a u čtyřstěnu přibližně 10?.The puzzle walls according to the invention are divided into 11 parts by individual parts. These differences make the shapes of the individual parts of the puzzle different from the shapes of the known puzzle pieces. There are approximately 10? Different positions when the walls are painted with different colors, whereas in the cube these positions are 1θ '? And in the tetrahedron approximately 10 ?.
The mathematical puzzle according to the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is an overall perspective view of a compound puzzle; Fig. 2 is an axonometric view of a base ball; Fig. 3 is an axonometric view of a central pentagon; Fig. 4 is an axonometric view of an edge piece; 6 shows the internal arrangement of the individual parts in cross-section through the plane of symmetry of the dodecahedron.
5) je opatřen výčnělkem 8, který při přiložení vrcholového dílu χ k hranovémuIn the base ball χ (Fig. 2) there are twelve regularly spaced openings X, the lines of which are aligned with the center of the ball at the two opposite openings, forming six straight lines, each of which forms an angle of 50-75 °, preferably 63.435 °. A rotating center pentagon X is resiliently mounted in each opening 2 of the base cross (Fig. 3). The grip prevents the central pentagon from moving away from the base ball 11, but allows it to rotate through its center. On the edge panel 6 (FIG. 4) there are two notches 6 and a protrusion χ. The top part X (Fig. 5) is provided with a protrusion 8 which, when the top part χ is applied to the edge
23Ό14 dílu £ zapadá do zářezu 6,. 6. Zde je vidět, jak výstupek 2 hranového dílu £ přidržuje hranový1 díl za dva středové pětiúhelníky 2, a jak do obou zářezů £ na hranovém dílu 2 zapadají výčnělky 8 dvou sousedních vrcholových dílů χ.23-14 of the part 8 fits into the notch 6 ,. The whole mathematical puzzle according to the invention consists of one basic ball 11, twelve central pentagons 2, thirty edge portions 2, 8 twenty vertex portions X. Here, it can be seen how the projection 2 of the edge piece 6 holds the edge piece 1 behind the two central pentagons 2, and how the protrusions 8 of the two adjacent apex portions χ fit into both notches 4 on the edge piece 2.
The edge portion 21 in FIG. 6 is shown in two different sections. FIG. 6 also illustrates one of the possibilities of resiliently attaching the pivotable central pentagon 2 to the base ball X by means of a screw 2 and a spring 40. During the rotation of one wall, one Class Pentagon 2, five edge portions 2 3 are adjacent to it and five apex portions χ are adjacent to each other. The rotation is effected about the axis 0 of the opening 2 of the base ball X, in which the respective center pX2 is attached.
Změnou tvaru vnějších ploch jednotlivých dílů (tj. ploch viditelných na obr. 1), lze změnit tvar dvanáctistěnu na kouli, případně jiné nepravidelné těleso. Různými variantami obarvení či znaků na vnějších plochách jednotlivých dílů lze měnit počty různých pozic, jichž lze otáčšním dosáhnout.By changing the shape of the outer surfaces of the individual parts (ie the surfaces visible in Fig. 1), the shape of the 12-wall on the ball or another irregular body can be changed. By varying the coloring or markings on the outer surfaces of the individual parts, the number of different positions that can be rotated can be changed.
The mathematical puzzle according to the invention can be used as a logical toy or as a teaching aid in teaching various parts of the theory of permutation groups at secondary schools and universities.
Jednotlivé díly lze vyrábět z plastické hmoty ne vstřikovacích lisech.Individual parts can be made of plastic on injection molding machines.
