Abstract

The dosage forms are formulated in a modular manner that prevents degradation of estradiol and minimizes the content of polyvinylpyrrolidone, while still achieving a rapid dissolution similar to that of estradiol. Dosage forms are useful for preventing or treating a physical condition caused in a woman by insufficient endogenous levels of estradiol.
