Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con la rama de la alimentación animal, con la obtención de aditivos a partir de plantas, específicamente la obtención de un producto con altos niveles de fructanos y su aplicación como prebiótico al lograr un mejor crecimiento de bacterias beneficiosas del tracto gastrointestinal (bacterias probióticas), lo cual repercute en un mejor estado de salud en el hospedero. El objetivo de la invención es proponer un procedimiento que permita obtener un producto prebiótico a partir de lagave fourcroydes para ser empleado como aditivo, con altos niveles de fructanos en mezcla polidispersa, en la alimentación animal. El procedimiento consiste en varias extracciones a partir del tallo con el empleo de agua desionizada, a una temperatura de 50 grados C, las fases líquidas obtenidas se colectan y se filtran, reduciendo su volumen y finalmente se liofiliza obteniéndose un producto sólido. El producto obtenido es un alimento funcional y tiene un efecto prebiótico estimulando la colonización de bifidobacterias y lactobacilos del tracto gastrointestinal disminuyendo el pH e incrementando la formación de ácidos grasos de cadena corta, lo que repercute en buen estado de salud y comportamiento productivo del animal.The present invention relates to the branch of animal feed, with the obtainment of additives from plants, specifically obtaining a product with high levels of fructans and its application as a prebiotic by achieving a better growth of beneficial bacteria from the gastrointestinal tract (probiotic bacteria), which affects a better state of health in the host. The procedure consists of several extractions from the stem with the use of deionized water, at a temperature of 50 degrees C, the liquid phases obtained are collected and filtered, reducing their volume and finally lyophilizing to obtain a solid product. The product obtained is a functional food and has a prebiotic effect stimulating the colonization of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli of the gastrointestinal tract by lowering the pH and increasing the formation of short-chain fatty acids, which affects the animal's good state of health and productive behavior.
