Abstract

La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación de diácido 3,6,9-tris(carboximetil)-4-(4-etoxibencil)-undecanoico cristalino de la fórmula I por saponificación de éster di-ter-butílico del diácido 3,6,9-triaza-3,6,9-tris(ter-butoxicarbonilmetil)-4-(4-etoxibencil)-undecanoico de la fórmula II en una solución acuosa de hidróxido de metal alcalino y al uso de diácido 3,6,9-triaza-3,6,9-tris(carboximetil)-4-(4- etoxibencil)-undecanoico de la fórmula I para la preparación del complejo de gadolinio de diácido 3,6,9-triaza-3,6,9-tris(carboximetil)-4-(4-etoxibencil)-undecanoico[(Gd-EOB-DTPA)=Primovist®].
