Abstract

Ein Fahrzeugsitz (10) für ein Kraftfahrzeug weist eine Sitzfläche (12), eine Rückenlehne (14), eine an der Rückenlehne (14) angeordneten Kopfstütze (16) und einen an der Rückenlehne (14) angeordneten Airbag (20), der sich im Bedarfsfall zwischen Rückenlehne (14) und Fahrzeugwandung aufbläst, auf. In einem Konturbereich (24) erstrecken sich Fangelemente (25) durch den Airbag (20), die den Airbag im Konturbereich (24) in zwei miteinander verbundene, im Bedarfsfall mit im wesentlichen gleichem Druck beaufschlagte, wulstartige Bereiche (24a, 24b) unterteilen. Um einen verbesserten Schutz des Kopfes des Insassen zu erreichen, befindet sich bei aufgeblasenem Aribag (20) der Konturbereich (24) in Höhe der Kopfstütze oder erstreckt sich bis dorthin (Fig. 1).
