1. Energieabsorptionsmittel,
enthaltend einen unter Ausschäumen geformten Artikel aus vorgeschäumten Partikeln, die als Harzbasis ein durch Imprägnieren eines Polyethylens hoher Dichte mit. einem aromatischen Vinylmonomer und Polymerisieren des Monomers erhaltenes Harz enthalten, wobei das Absorptionsmittel

eine Dichte ( Q ) von 0,015 - 0,15 g/cm aufweist und die folgende Beziehung erfüllt:
E20 2 45 kg.cm/g.

worin E20 (kg.cm/cm) die Menge an absorbierter Energie bei
70 % Kompression bei 2O0C bedeutet und β die gleiche Bedeutung, wie vorangehend angegeben, hat.
2. Energieabsorptionsmittel nach Anspruch 1,
bei dem der Gehalt an aromatischem Vinylmonomer 10-60 Gew.-% des ganzen unter Ausschäumen geformten Artikels beträgt.
