Opfindelsen angår et byggeelement af sandwich-typen, f.eks. et vægelement, til bygning af større bygningskonstruktioner, hvilket byggeelement omfatter to yderlag af forholdsvis tæt, fortrinsvis branddrøjt materiale og mindst St kernelag af op-5 blæret materiale, fortrinsvis hårdt plastskum, der nær byggeelementets kant er afgrænset af et rundtgående profileret kantemne af svært antændeligt isoleringsmateriale.
Fra svensk fremlæggelsesskrift 368.598 kendes et byggeelement af denne art bestående af to yderlag og et kernelag af op-skummet plast, og hvor yderlagene holdes i afstand fra hin-10 anden mekanisk ved hjælp af et mellem disse indskudt kantemne. Yderlagene er fastgjort til kantemnet ved hjælp af fra yderlagene ombukkede flige, der rager ind i riller i kantemnet. Fastgørelsen af kantemnet er ret kompliceret og dyr.
Det er formålet med opfindelsen at anyise et byggeelement 15 af den ovenfor nævnte art, som er særlig enkelt opbygget og let at fremstille.
Byggeelementet ifølge opfindelsen er ejendommeligt ved, at kantemnet har et i hovedsagen trapezformet tværsnit, hvor den korte side i trapezet vender ind mod kernelaget, medens 20 trapezets skrå sider vender om yderlagene, idet de til de skrå trapezsider svarende flader på kantemnet sammen med yderlagene afgrænser en kilformet spalte på hver side af kantemnet, hvilke spalter, idet de er udfyldt med kernemateriale, limer kantemnet til yderlagene, hvorhos kantemnet 25 er af højisolerende, hærdnet plastskum. Herved opnås yderst enkel opbygning og let fremstilling, idet kantemnet af sig selv under kernelagets opskumning fastlimes til yderlagene under udsivning af kernemateriale i de nævnte spalter. Kantemnet hænger som følge af limningen godt fast på yderlagene.

Det viste hyggeelement, som er af sandwich-typen, og som kan fremstilles i en ikke-vist formkasse, består af to yderlag la og lb af tæt materiale samt mindst ét kernelag 2 af op-blæret materiale. Yderlagene kan fortrinsvis være af metal, 5 træ, såsom krydsfiner, plast, eventuelt armeret plast, stenmaterialer eller asbestcement, medens kernelaget kan være af hårdt plastskum, fortrinsvis af to-komponent-typen, Der kan f.eks, være tale om modificeret to-komponent polyurethan.
Dette ekspanderer og bliver hårdt under højt tryk. Det er 10 bedst, hvis kernematerialet er af en art, som kan opskumme til et volumen, som er 25-3Q gange begyndelsesvolumenet. Ved yderlagene la og lb?s kant findes et profileret kantemne 3 af højisolerende, svært antændeligt, hårdt plastskum. Dette emne har i hovedsagen trapezformet tværsnit. Som det ses, ven-15 der den korte side 3a i trapezet irid mod kernelaget 2, medens trapezets skrå sider 3b og 3c vender mod yderlagene la og lb.
De flader på kantemnet 3, som svarer til trapezsiderne 3b og 3c, afgrænser sammen henholdsvis yderlaget la og yderlaget lb to kileformede spalter 6a og 6b. Disse er, som det ses, 20 udfyldt af kernematerialet, som er klæbende, og som derfor limer kantemnet 3 sammen med yderlagene la og lb. Kantemnet er "rundtgående", hvilket vil sige, at det strækker sig hele vejen rundt langs yderkanterne af de to nævnte yderlag la og lb. Eventuelt kan kantemnet bestå af flere ens emner, der 25 er lagt i forlængelse af hinanden. Som følge af kantemnets materiale og særlige fastgørelse til yderlagene er der ikke nogen kuldebro mellem yderlagene.
På sin frie flade 9 kan kantemnet 3, som vist, have en langs-30 gående forsænkning 10 samt to recesser 11 og 12. Forsænkningen 10 tjener til hel eller delvis optagelse af bærende søjler eller bjælker i den bygningskonstruktion, der skal opføres, medens recesserne tjener til optagelse af forbindelseslister eller -bånd til sammenføjning af elementet med 35 et andet lignende byggeelement.
