Opfindelsen angår en fremgangsmåde til ved varmesvejsning at fastgøre to i hinanden indskudte rørdele af smelteligt termoplast til hinanden, og hvor det ene rør er indrettet til at optage en ende af det andet rør under dannelse af 5 en ringformet spalte til optagelse af en svejsemanchet af smelteligt termoplast, og hvor der i spalten mellem de to rør er anbragt et varmelegeme til opvarmning og sammensvejsning af svejsemanchetten og de to rørs mod svejsemanchetten vendende flader, samt hvor kraften fra et organ af plast, 10 hvis materialetilstand er ændret fra at være dimensionssta bil i varme til at være dimensionsustabil i varme, udnyttes til at bevirke sammenpresning af de to rør og svejsemanchetten .
Opfindelsen angår endvidere en anordning til udøvelse af 15 fremgangsmåden.
Det er kendt at anvende rørformede dele, f.eks. forbindelsesmuffer med en udvidet del til optagelse af enden af et rør, der ligesom muffen består af svejseligt termoplast, og hvor den udvidede del er strakt under opvarmning og der-20 efter er afkølet i udvidet tilstand. Herved er frembragt en reversibel deformation af plastmaterialet, som ved fornyet opvarmning vil genantage den oprindelige, ikke-udvi-dede tilstand og presse den smeltede svejsemanchet mod det inden for liggende rør med et tryk, der medfører en kraft-25 optagende og væsketæt svejsefuge.
Udnyttelsen af denne svejseteknik er imidlertid begrænset til rør med små dimensioner, idet den indlagte svejsemanchet og dennes varmelegeme må overføre tilstrækkelig varme til muffen til, at denne bringes til at krympe og smelte 30 i tilstrækkelig udstrækning. Begrænsningen betinges af de store varmemængder, der må tilføres selv forholdsvis små muffer, hvilket kræver meget lang opvarmningstid. Forsøg på at tilføre store varmemængder pr. tidsenhed for at 2 148738 mindske opvarmningstiden medfører som regel, at plasten i svejsemanchetten brændes og kommer til at indeholde forkullede dele, der ødelægger fugens tæthed. En anden mangel er, at svejsningen bliver helt stump og bevægelser mellem 5 de to sammensvejsede rørdele vil bevirke revnedannelser og dermed lækager.
Til rør med meget stor diameter, f.eks. fjernvarmerør er den kendte metode ikke anvendelig.
Det er derfor opfindelsens formål at anvise en fremgangs-10 måde og en anordning til brug ved fremgangsmåden, der helt løser de nævnte problemer.
Dette er ifølge opfindelsen opnået ved en fremgangsmåde, der er ejendommelig ved det i krav l's kendetegnende del anførte, og ved en anordning til brug véd fremgangsmåden, 15 der er ejendommelig ved det i krav 2's kendetegnende del anførte.
Opfindelsen forklares nærmere i det følgende under henvisning til tegningen, hvor fig. 1 er et aksialt snit af to rør, der skal sammensvej-20 ses under anvendelse af en anordning ifølge opfin delsen, fig. 2 viser et trykkraftfrembringende organ, og fig. 3 er et snit gennem organet ifølge fig. 2 efter at de.t er udsat for varme og er tilladt at ekspandere 25 frit.
I fig, 1 er med 1 vist et cylindrisk, rørformet organ af svejseligt plast, f.eks. en ikke tværbundet polyethylen.
Røret 1 kan være en muffe, der skal sammensvejses med et andet rør 2 af svejseligt termoplast. Det første rør 1 har 3 148738 større diameter end det andet rør 2, således at der er dannet en ringformet spalte 3 mellem rørenderne, og i denne spalte 3 er indført en svejsemanchet 4, der i det i fig. 1 viste eksempel består af en i U-form bøjet strimmel af et 5 ved tilførsel af varme smelteligt plastmateriale, f.eks.
en ikke tværbundet polyethylen. Strimmelen er dobbeltbukket således, at der er dannet to flige eller grene 3, 6 og et mellemliggende rum 7. Den ene flig 5 på strimmelen 4, der strækker sig rundt gennem hele den ringformede 10 spalte 3, ligger an mod indersiden 8 af det udvendige rør 1, og den anden flig 6 ligger an mod ydersiden af det indvendige rør 2.
Det vil ses, at når de to flige 5 og 6 bringes til smeltet tilstand, og når de samvirkende flader på rørene brin-15 ges til smeltning, vil de to rør 1 og 2 blive forenede med hinanden gennem en tæt væg 9. Den til svejsemanchetten 4 valgte plast skal være så elastisk som muligt, for at indbyrdes radiale og/eller aksiale bevægelser mellem de to rør 1 og 2 skal kunne optages af væggen 9. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11
For at tilvejebringe den nødvendige smeltning og tryksvejs 2 ning af manchetten 4 i hvert fald inden for området for an 3 læg mod de to rør, anbringes der et tryk- og varmefrembrin- 4 gende organ i rummet 7 mellem svejsemanchettens to flige 5 5 og 6. I den viste udførelsesform består dette organ af 6 en i det væsentlige lukket ring, der er dannet af et rør, 7 der oprindeligt har tilnærmelsesvis cirkulært tværsnit, 8 jfr. fig. 3, og som består af en tværbundet eller ikke tvær- 9 bundet plast, f.eks. en polyethylen, der på i og for sig 10 kendt måde er blevet deformeret således, at dets tværsnit er 11 blevet omtrent elliptisk som vist i fig. 1. Deformeringen af det oprindeligt i tværsnit cirkulære rør kan ske ved, at røret opvarmes i deformeret tilstand og derefter afkøles under opretholdelse af det deformerende tryk. Når det således deformerede rør tilføres varme, vil det reversibelt 4 148738 deformerbare materiale genindtage den oprindelige form, dus. det cirkulære tværsnit.
I det viste tilfælde er ringens 10 tværsnit udfladet så meget, at svejsemanchetten og ringen nemt kan føres ind i 5 spalten 3. For at smelte manchettens foran nævnte dele, der ligger an mod de to rør, og for at tilføre tilstrækkelig varme til ringen 10 er denne, som skematisk vist i fig.
2, omviklet med en opvarmningstråd 11, hvis ender 12, 13 er indrettet til at blive tilsluttet en spændingskilde.
10 Viklingen bør være så løs, at ringen kan ændre tværsnits- arealet uden risiko for, at der vil opstå brud på tråden.
Ringen 10 ligger forholdsvis godt varmeisoleret i rummet 7 mellem svejsemanchettens flige 5, 6, og den har derhos forholdsvis lille masse, hvorfor smeltningen af manchet-15 tens svejsepartier og opvarmning af ringen 10 i tilstrække lig grad til, at ringen vil antage sin oprindelige form, sker hurtigt og med forholdsvis lille tilførsel af energi.
Så snart ringen 10 begynder at genantage sin oprindelige form, presses svejsemanchettens flige 5 og 6 mod rørene 1 20 og 2, og der dannes en tæt svejsning, der desuden er i stand til at optage bevægelser mellem de sammensvejsede rør.
Det trykfrembringende organ behøver ikke at udformes af et rør, men kan meget vel bestå af en massiv stang med 25 f.eks. kvadratisk tværsnit i dens oprindelige, i varme stabile tilstand, og som siden er deformeret således, at tværsnittet er udfladet i den varme-ustabile tilstand.
Varmetilførselen til at smelte svejsemanchetten og tilføre varmen til trykorganet kan også ske induktivt, hvorved der f.eks. indlægges en metalfolie mellem trykorganet og 30 manchetten. Svejsemanchetten kan endvidere udformes som en slange, der omslutter trykorganet. Slangen kan være udformet direkte på trykorganet i form af en belægning med ønsket tykkelse.
5 148738 Såfiremt man ønsker en tværbinding af plastmaterialet i svejseområdet mellem manchetten og røret 1, henholdsvis mellem manchetten og det indvendige rør 2, kan manchetten eksempelvis imprægneres med en peroxid, som ved smeltning 5 af manchetmaterialet frembringer den ønskede brodannelse.

Claims (2)

Fremgangsmåde til ved varmesvejsning at fastgøre to i hinanden indskudte rørdele (1, 2) af smelteligt termoplast til hinanden, og hvor det ene rør (1) er indrettet til at 5 optage et endeparti af det andet rør (2) under dannelse af en ringformet spalte (3) til optagelse af en svejsemanchet (4) af smelteligt termoplast, og hvor der i spalten mellem de to rør er anbragt et varmelegeme (11) til opvarmning og sammensvejsning af svejsemanchetten og de to rørs 10 mod svejsemanchetten vendende flader, samt hvor kraften fra et organ (10) af plast, hvis materialetilstand er ændret fra oprindeligt at være dimensionsstabil i varme til at være dimensionsustabil i varme, udnyttes til sammenpresning af de to rør og svejsemanchetten, kendeteg-15 net ved, at svejsemanchetten (4) udformes med et indre rum (7), hvori anbringes organet (10), som er ringformet, og som ved overgang til den dimensionsstabile tilstand udvider sig i retning mod de mod svejsemanchetten vendende flader, og at varmelegemet (11) er anbragt på ringens over-20 flade.
2. Anordning til udøvelse af den i krav 1 anførte fremgangsmåde til ved varmesvejsning at fastgøre to rørformede dele (1, 2) af smelteligt termoplast til hinanden, hvilke to rør er indskudt i hinanden under dannelse af en ring- 25 formet spalte (3) til optagelse af en svejsemanchet (4) af svejseligt termoplast, og hvor der i spalten findes et varmelegeme (11) til opvarmning og sammensvejsning af svejsemanchetten og de to rør, samt hvor kraften fra et organ (10) af plast, hvis materialetilstand er ændret fra oprin-30 deligt at være dimensionsstabil i varme til at være dimen sionustabil i varme, udnyttes til sammenpresning af de to rør og svejsemanchetten, kendetegnet ved, at svejsemanchetten (4) er udformet med et indre rum (7),
