Opfindelsen angår et bakteriedræbende absorptionslegeme til opsamling af urin, fæces eller blod og dimensioneret til at opsuge et maksimalt væskerumfang. Absorptionslegemet kan især foreligge i form af en ble, et bind eller et underlag.
Det er kendt at kobberforbindelser har en antibakte-riel virkning. Således foreslås det ifølge US patentskrift nr. 2.762.822 at anvende nogle forbindelser, der indeholder kobber sammen med en glukonatgruppe og en aminobenzoesyre-gruppe, med desodoriserende virkning, enzyminhiberende virkning og bakteriedræbende virkning, ved behandling af genstande, fx sokker, for at forhindre svedlugt. Desuden er det fra US patentskrift nr. 2.856.330 kendt at behandle bomuldsstoffer med en opløsning, der indeholder et almindeligt vandopløseligt kobbersalt og alkalimetaldihydrogenpyrofosfat. Dihydrogenpyrofosfatet bevirker at mængden af frie kobberioner bliver lille i forhold til den samlede mængde kobber på grund af at der dannes et svagt dissocieret kobberdihydrogenpyro-fosfat. Ifølge US patentskriftet skal opløsningen anvendes til behandling af bomuldsstoffer som indeholder kolloide materialer såsom sæber. Den tilstedeværende sæbe udfælder kobberet mens et eventuelt overskud af vandopløseligt kobbersalt forsvinder med skyllevandet. Kun vanduopløselig metalsæbe vil forblive på fibrene og højst i en mængde der er ækvivalent med den anvendte mængde alkalisæbe. Det således behandlede bomuldsstof indeholder kobber i det væsentlige fikseret derpå, hvilket kobber ikke fjernes ved befugtning eller skylning med vand.
Det er kendt at huden i perinalområdet (bækkenbunden, især partiet mellem de ydre kønsdele og anus) på et menneske altid er hjemsøgt af et stort antal bakterier af forskellig slags selv om der iagttages streng hygiejne. Undersøgelser har vist at med små individuelle variationer består bakteriefloraen for 80%s vedkommende af de fire grupper Proteus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas og Koli. 2 terier ingen egentlig skade så længe de kun findes på huden og denne er sund og ubeskadiget. Ved kraftigere transpiration i perinealområdet bliver dog tilvækstklimaet for bakterier yderst gunstigt og produkter, der dannes ved deres metabolisme, kan skade huden. Bakterier formerer sig ved deling, såkaldt mitose, som under gunstige omstændigheder-kan blive så omfattende, at antallet af bakterier fordobles hvert tyvende minut. Under disse forhold kan der komme bakterier ind i urinvejene og forårsage infektion. Dette sker lettere hos kvinder, som har kort urinrør, end hos mænd.
Hos urin- og fæcesinkontinente mennesker, dvs. sådanne, som ikke har evne til selv at styre tidspunktet for urin-oq eskrementafgang, fremkommer der ofte problemer med urinvejsinfektioner og generende lugt. Risikoen for bakterietilvækst forøges idet de altid har en ble på sig, som ligqer an mod huden, forhindrer luftudskiftning og forøger transpirationen. Ofte er bleen våd, og urinen i bleen, som på grund af nærheden til kroppen holdes varm, er et godt vækstmedium for bakterier.
Af de ovenfor nævnte bakterier kan Proteusgruppen nedbryde urinstof. Samtlig Proteusstammer danner under deres metabolisme enzymet urease, som har evne til hurtigt at nedbryde urinstof til ammoniak. Normal urin fra mennesker indeholder 2% urinstof hvilket indebærer at der ud fra 1 liter urin kan frigøres ca. 50 ml koncentreret 25%s ammoniakopløsning .
Ammoniakken giver ikke alene en ubehagelig stank men også en høj pH-værdi. Kontakten med en våd ble med høj pH-værdi forårsager efterhånden hudskader, såkaldt ble-dermatitis. Sådanne hudskader i form af sårdannelse begunstiger bakterietilvækst, som fører til at der dannes ammoniak og således er et selvdrivende forløb i gang, som forårsager urinvejsinfektion og ubehagelig lugt.
Disse problemer forekommer ofte inden for ældreforsorgen, hvor mange patienter er urininkontinente og anvender bleer og underlag. Mange kvinder har også lignende problemer under deres menstruationsperiode.

Det er formålet med den foreliggende opfindelse at eliminere disse problemer. Selv i meget små mængder har kobber en kraftig dræbende virkning på samtlige bakterier, som forekommer i perinealområdet hos et menneske. Forsøg in vitro har vist at en sådan lille mængde kobber som 250 μg/ml sojaboullion inden for 24 timer effektivt dræber et inokulat g med mere end 10 bakterier pr. ml. Det har vist sig at kobberet må være til rådighed i vandopløselig form, dersom de omhandlede problemer ønskes elimineret, således har praktiske forsøg vist at en så lille mængde som 0,25 g kobberacetat (tørvægt) fordelt over overfladen på en inkontinensble af størrelsen 32 x 65 cm forhindrede at bakterievækst og derved lugt fremkom.
Opfindelsen angår derfor et bakteriedræbende absorptionslegeme til opsamling af urin, fæces eller blod og dimensioneret til at opsuge et maksimalt væskerumfang, hvilket absorptionslegeme er ejendommelig ved det i krav l's kendetegnende del angivne.
Absorptionslegemet indeholder 150-700, fortrinsvis 200-500, navnlig ca. 300 pg kobber pr. ml af det væskerumfang, som det er dimensioneret til at opsuge.
Som kobbersalt kan der anvendes et hvilket som helst salt, som er opløseligt i den væske, som absorptionslegemet skal opsuge, nemlig urin, blod eller fæces. Eksempler på sådanne vandopløselige kobbersalte er kobberborat, -sulfat, -klorid, -formiat, -oxalat, -acetat, -tartrat, -citrat og -laktat. Fortrinsvis anvendes kobberacetat, som har den fordel at også acetationer har antibakteriel virkning.
Fordelen med et absorptionslegeme, som ifølge opfindelsen indeholder et urinopløseligt kobbersalt, er at kobberionerne hæmmer tilvæksten af de bakterier, der forekommer i perinealområdet. Dermed forhindres nedbrydningen af urinstof til stinkende ammoniak. Hvis der trods alt skulle dannes ammoniak så kan dette dannes til et kompleks af kobber- 2+ ionerne til tetraaminkupriion [Cu (NH3)4J . Dette er spe cielt vigtigt når det gælder urininkontinente patienter med urinvejsinfektioner. Der anvendes fortrinsvis kobberacetat,

4 idet acetationen protylyseres til eddikesyre, som er et bak-tericid.
Med et absorptionslegeme forstås en barneble, inkon-tinensble, et underlag, et hygiejnebind eller lignende, der anvendes til absorption og opsamling af urin, fæces eller blod. Det absorberende materiale i sådanne absorptionslegemer består sædvanligvis af cellulosefibre eller celleVat.
Sådanne absorptionslegemer kan optage 50 til 700 ml væske afhængig af om det drejer sig om den mindste type barneble eller et underlag til urininkontinente personer.
Kobbersaltet indføres enten direkte i cellulosefibrene eller cellevattet før tilvirkningen af absorptionslegemet eller opløses i et opløsningsmiddel, som ikke er skadeligt, fortrinsvis vand, og sprøjtes på den ene side af det færdige absorptionslegeme eller på en komponent af denne, hvilken komponent senere danner den side, som først kommer i kontakt med urin, blod eller fæces.
Et foretrukket absorptionslegeme ifølge opfindelsen består af et ark opfluffet cellulosefibre med en overflade-vægt på 250-350 g/m . Dette flufark udgør bleens absorptionslag og dimensioneres såeldes at en færdig ble kan optage ca.
500 ml urin. Flufarket ligger mellem to baner af blødt papir, som præges fast til flufarket i et prægningsværk. Flufarket med.'dobbelt overside af blødt papir er på den ene side fast-limet til en tynd plastfolie, som er fugtuigennemtrængelig og så meget bredere end flufarket at foliens kanter kan bøjes over flufarkets to kanter og 2-3 cm ind på den anden side af flufarket. Mod disse ombøjede foliekanter er et tyndt gen-nemtrængeligt net- eller ikke-vævet-materiale fastsvejset eller fastlimet. Dette net eller ikke-vævet materiale danner oversiden eller den side af den færdige ble, der først kommer i kontakt med urin, fæces eller blod.
Flufarket er 10-15 cm kortere end den færdige ble1s samlede længde, således at hver ende af bleen kommer til at bestå af kun en 5-7,5 cm lang flig af plastfolien og den mod denne flig svejsede eller limede net- eller ikke-vævede-bane.
Dette gøres for at undgå såkaldt kantlækage hos den færdige ble. Ved tillempning af den foreliggende opfindelse går man 5

ved en sådan blekonstruktion mest hensigtsmæssigt frem på den måde at det øverste ark af blødt papir, altså det der ligger nærmest netmaterialet eller det ikke-vævede materiale, før fastprægningen mod flufmaterialet gives en imprægnering med en vandig opløsning af et kobbersalt, enten ved præfabrikering i et separat anlæg eller ved en direkte fremgangsmåde "in line" i blemaskinen.
Hvis man arbejder- med kobberacetat tilpasses forholdet mellem koncentrationerne af imprægneringsopløsningen og det bløde papir på. en sådan måde at det færdigimprægnerede papir 2 kommer til at indeholde 1,5-2,5 g kobberacetat pr. m , regnet som tørstof.
På lignende måde kan fx et hygiejnebind fremstilles.
Det er i princippet kun størrelsen og absorptionsmaterialet som er noget afvigende.
Der er udført kliniske forsøg med bleer af den ovenfor beskrevne type med en størrelse på 32 x 65 cm og dimensioneret til at optage 300 ml urin. På det mod oversiden (mod nettet) vendte bløde papir sprøjtedes en vandopløsning af kobberacetat således at det bløde papir fik en Kobbermængde på 0,25 g (tørvægt) kobberacetat eller 0,08 g kobber pr. ble. Dette svarer til 267 μg kobber pr. ml af den urinmængde, som bleen kan optage. En urininkontinent kvinde med stærkt lugtende urin fik lov at benytte i alt 112 af disse bleer. Bleerne udskiftedes gennemsnitligt efter 2 timer.
Af de anvendte bleer havde 89% ingen urinlugt, 8% lugt af normal urin og 4% lugtede dårligt. Når man gik over til bakteriedræbende bleer forsvandt urinlugten i lokalet.
Da patienten atter begyndte at benytte almindelige bleer tilbagekom den generende stank. Der noteredes ingen hudskader.
Det med kobbersalt behandlede absorptionslegeme ifølge opfindelsen forhindrer bakterietilvækst og nedbrydning af urinstof til ammoniak. Eventuelt dannet ammoniak bindes og kan ikke frigøres således at pH-værdien ikke stiger og der fremkommer ikke generende lugt. Bleen medfører praktiske fordele ved at den hæmmer fremkomsten af bledermatitis, generende lugt op urinvejsinfektioner.
Claims (2)
1. Bakteriedræbende absorptionslegeme til opsamling af urin, fæces eller blod og dimensioneret til at opsuge et maksimalt væskerumfang, kendetegnet ved at det indeholder et urinopløseligt kobbersalt valgt blandt kobber-formiat, -oxalat, -tartrat, -citrat, -laktat, -sulfat, -klorid, -acetat og -borat, især koncentreret til den overflade af absorptionslegemet, der først kommer i kontakt med urinen, fæces eller blodet, således at det indeholder mindst 150 μg kobber pr. ml af det væskerumfang, som absorptionslegemet er dimensioneret til.
2. Bakteriedræbende absorptionslegeme ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved at det indeholder 1,2-2,5 g kob- 2 beracetat beregnet som tørstof pr. m af den overflade, der først kommer i kontakt med urin, blod eller fæces.
