Den foreliggende opfindelse angår hidtil ukendte 2-substituerede methyl-propenoatfor-bindelser, en fremgangsmåde til deres fremstilling samt deres anvendelse som fungicider eller plantevækstregulatorer.
I Georg Schramms afhandling med titlen "Neue Antibiotika aus Hohren Pilzen (Basido-5 myceten)", RheinischenFriedrich-Wilhelms-UniversitåtBonn, Bonn 1980, beskrives en række forbindelser, der er beslægtede med forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen, nemlig forskellige strobiluriner samt analoger deraf. I afhandlingen beskrives forsøgsresultater fra en in vitro agardiffusionstest, hvor disse strobilurin-derivater samt strobilurin selv er testet med hensyn til aktivitet over for forskellige mikroorganismer. Strobilurin viser 10 sig at have en vis aktivitet over for P. notatum, medens derivaterne af strobilurin har en reduceret aktivitet i forhold til denne. Der er i afhandlingen ikke beskrevet resultater fra in vivo test af de omhandlede, kendte forbindelser. Det har imidlertid nu vist sig, at strobilurin ikke er aktiv over for forskellige plantepatogener i en in νίνο-test. Se efterfølgende eksempel 18.
15 Opfindelsen angiver forbindelser med den almene formel I: vch3 "Yr'Y1 / CO^CHo 20 y' og stereoisomerer deraf, hvor V er O eller S, X er H, CM alkyl, C3^, alkenyl, halogen, phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl, pyrimidinyl, benzyl, phenoxy, benzyloxy, pyridyloxy, furyl, thienyl, benzothienyl eller pyrrolyl, hver eventuelt substitueret med et eller flere haloge-25 natomer eller CM alkyl, CM alkoxy, eller halogen-CM alkylgrupper, Y er hydrogen eller 2 DK 173341 B1 « et halogen, og Z er -CH2-, -CH(CH3)-, -C(CH3)2-, -O-, -S-, -N(CH3)- eller -N(C2H5), og metalkomplekser deraf, med det forbehold, at når Z er CH2, O eller S og V er O, er X og Y ikke begge H, og når V og Z begge er O og X er 2-chlor, er Y ikke 4-chlor.
Forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen har vist sig at have en overlegen antifungicid virkning S sammenlignet med strobilurin.
Forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen indeholder mindst én carbon-carbon dobbeltbinding og fås sommetider i form af blandinger af geometriske isomerer. Disse blandinger kan adskilles i individuelle isomerer, og opfindelsen omfatter sådanne isomerer.
De enkelte isomerer, der er resultatet af den substituerede dobbeltbinding i acrylatgrup-10 pen, inditificeres i det følgende med de almindeligt anvendte udtryk "E" og "Z". Disse udtryk er defineret i overensstemmelse med Cahn-Ingold-Prelog systemet, der er fuldt beskrevet i litteraturen (se f.eks. J. March, "Advanced Organic Chemistry" 3. udgave, Wiley-Interscience, side 109 ff).
Forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen indbefatter de, som er overvejende i form af den E-15 isomere og også de, der er overvejende i form af Z-isomere.

Alkylgrupper kan være i form af lige eller forgrenede kæder. Eksempler er methyl, ethyl, π-propyl, iso-propyl, n-butyl, sekundær butyl, iso-butyl og tertiær butyl.
en anden udførelsesform ifølge opfindelsen angives en forbindelse, som defineret i de 20 foregående afsnit, hvor X er bundet til phenylringen i meta- (eller 3-) stilling i forhold 2 til gruppen Z, og X er en phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl, pyrimidinyl, furyl, thienyl, benzo- 4 DK 173341 B1 thienyl eller pyrrolylgruppe, der hver er bundet gennem et vilkårligt af deres ringatomer, og hver eventuelt er substitueret med et eller flere halogenatomer eller CM alkyl, CM alkoxy eller halogen CM alkylgrupper.

Denne forkrøbling eller dværg- 5 væsktdannelse kan være nyttig f.eks. til jordnødder, kornsor- 6 ter, såsom hvede og byg, oliefrøraps, markbønner, solsikker, kartoler og sojabønner, hvor reduktion i stængelhøjde med eller uden yderligere fordelagtige virkninger, såsom stængelforstærkelse, fortykkelse ell,er forkortelse, forkortelse af internodier, forøget støtterpdsdannelse og mere opret stilk 3 5 og bladorientering, kan reducere risikoen for lejedannelse og også kan muliggøre, at der tilføres forøgede mængder gødning.

Forbindelser der inducerer forkrøbling eller dværgvækst kan også være nyttige til at modificere stængelvæksten af sukkerrør og derved forøge koncentrationen af sukker i røret ved høst. I sukkerrør kan blomstringen og modningen reguleres 5 ved anvendelse af forbindelserne. Forkrøbling af jordnødder kan være en hjælp ved høst. Forbindelserne kan forkrøble græsarter uden betydelige phytotoksiske virkninger og uden skadeligt at påvirke udseendet (især farven) af græsset.
10 Andre plantevækstregulerende virkninger forårsaget af for bindelserne indbefatter ændring af bladvinklen og ændringer i bladmorfologien (der begge muliggør forøget lysopfangning og udnyttelse) og fremme af vandrisdannelse hos enkimbladede planter. Forbedret lysopfangning har værdi for alle større 15 afgrøder, f.eks. hvede, byg, ris, majs, soja, sukkerroe, kartof fel, plantageafgrøder og frugthaveafgrøder. Ved at forøge vandrisdannelse hos enkimbladede afgrøder (f.eks. ris) kan antallet af blomstrende skud pr. enhedsområde forøges, og derved kan det samlede kornudbytte af sådanne afgrøder forøges.

Desuden er bedre regulering og modifikation af hierakiske forhold mulige både i vegetative og reproduktive stadier af enkimbladet og tokimbladet plantevækst, især hos kornsorter, såsom hved, byg, ris og majs, hvorved antallet af blomstrende skud pr. enhedsområde kan forøges og størrelsesfordelingen af korn i akset kan modificeres på en sådan måde, at udbyttet forøges. I grønsvær, især til rekreative områder, kunne en forøgelse i vandrisdannelse føre til en tættere grønsvær, som kan resultere i forøget eftergivelighed ved brug samt til forøgede udbytter og bedre kvalitet af fodergræs, f.eks. forbedret fordøjelighed og velsmag.
Behandlingen af planterne med forbindelserne kan føre til at bladene udvikler en mørkere grøn farve. Hos tokimbladede planter, såsom sojabønne og bomuld, kan der ske en fremme 35 af sideskud.
Afgrødeudbytter kan også forøges ved forbedring af høstindexet 21 DK 173341 B1 (dvs. det høstede udbytte, søm en del af det totale producerede tørstof) ved at ændre tørstoffordelingen. Dette gælder især for kornafgrøder.

Det skal forstås, at ikke alle forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen nødvendigvis vil udvi$e alle de ovennævnte plantevækstregulerende virkninger. Medens der således kan være fordele ved forbindelser, der har et bredt spektrum af plantevækstregulerende virkninger over for et bredt interval af arter, 10 kan forbindelser, der har en høj specifik aktivitet over for en given art og/eller plantedækstregulerende virkning, også være af stor fordel.
Ved udførelse af den plantevækstregulerende metode ifølge 15 opfindelsen vil den mængde forbindelse, der skal påføres, for at regulere væksten af planter, afhænge af en række faktorer, f.eks. den til anvendelsen særligt valgte forbindelse og identiteten af den planteart, hvis vækst skal reguleres.
I almindelighed anvendes dog'en mængde på 0,1 til 15, fortrins- 20 vis 0,1 til 5 kg pr. hektar. Ved anvendelse af bionedbrydelige polymere korn med langsom frigørelse er mængder på 1 til 10 g pr. hektar mulige. Elektrodynamisk sprøjteteknik kan også benytte lavere mængder. På visse planter kan selv mængder inden for disse intervaller dog give uønskede phytotoksiske virkninger. Rutineforsøg kan være nødvendige for at bestemme de bedst anvendte mængder af;en særlig forbindelse til et givet formål, som den er egnøt til.
Forbindelserne kan anvendes $om sådan til plantevækstregu-30 lerende formål, men bliver møre bekvemt sammensat til midler til sådan anvendelse. Opfindøl sen angiver således et plantevækstregulerende middel omfattende en forbindelse med den almene formel I som defineret i det foregående eller et salt eller metalkompleks deraf og eventuelt et bærestof eller for-3 3 tyndingsmiddel.
Opfindelsen angiver også en fremgangsmåde til at regulere DK 173341 B1 22 plantevækst, hvilken metode består i at påføre på planten, frøet af en plante eller voksestedet for en plante eller et frø af en forbindelse eller salt eller et metalkompleks deraf som defineret i det foregående eller et middel indeholdende disse.
Forbindelserne, saltene, metalkomplekserne, etherne og esterne kan påføres på flere forskellige måder, f.eks. kan de alene eller i præparatform påføres direkte på løvet af en plante, 1 eller de kan påføres også på buske og træer, på frø eller på andet medium, hvori planter, buske eller træer vokser eller skal plantes, eller de kan sprøjtes på, støves på eller påføres som en creme eller pasta, eller de kan anvendes som damp eller som korn med langsom frigørelse. Påføringen kan ske på enhver del af planten, busken eller træet, f.eks. på løvet, stilkene, grenene eller rødderne, eller til jord der omgiver rødderne eller på frø, før det sås, eller på jorden generelt, til vand til rismarker eller til hydroponiske kultursystemer. Forbindelserne ifølge opfindelsen kan også in- 20 jiceres i planter eller træer, og de kan også sprøjtes på vegetation under anvendelse af elektrodynamisk sprøjteteknik.

Forbindelserne anvendes fortrinsvis til landbrugsmæssige og havebrugsmæssige formål i form af et middel. Den type middel, der anvendes i et givet tilfælde, vil afhænge af det særligt tilstræbte formål.

Vandige dispersioner eller emulsioner kan fremstilles ved at opløse den eller de aktive bestanddele i et organisk opløsningsmiddel, der eventuelt indeholder befugtningsmidler, dispergeringsmidler eller emulgeringsmidler, og derefter sætte blandingen til vand, der også kan indeholde befugtningsmidler, 20 dispergeringsmidler eller emylgeringsmidler. Egnede organiske opløsningsmidler er ethylendichlorid, isopropylalkohol, pro- pylenclycol, diacetonealkohol, toluen, petroleum, methylnaphtha- len, xylenerne, trichlorethylen, furfurylalkohol, tetrahydro- furfurylalkohol og glycolethere (f.eks. 2-ethoxyethanol og 25 2-butoxyethanol).
Midlerne, der skal anvendes som sprøjtevæsker, kan også være i form af aerosoler, hvori præparatet holdes i en beholder under tryk i nærværelse af et drivmiddel, f.eks. fluortri-30 chlormethan eller dichlordiff.uormethan.
Forbindelserne kan blandes i.tør tilstand med en pyroteknisk blanding til dannelse af et middel, der er egnet til i lukkede rum at udvikle en røg indeholdende forbindelserne.

Alternativt kan forbindelserne anvendes i mikroindkapslet form. De kan også sammensættes til bionedbrydelige polymere præparater for at opnå en langsom reguleret frigørelse af det aktive stof.

Ved at inkludere egnede additiver, f.eks. additiver til forbedring af fordelingen, klæbeevnen og modstandsevnen mod regn på behandlede overflader, kan de forskellige midler gøres bedre egnede til forskellige formål.

Midlerne kan også være i form af flydende præparater til anvendelse som dyppevæsker eller sprøjtevæsker, der i almindelighed er vandige dispersioner eller emulsioner indeholdende den aktive bestanddel i nærværelse af et eller flere overfladeaktive stoffer f.eks. befugtningsmidler, dispergerings- 20 midler, emulgeringsmidler eller suspenderingsmidler, eller som er sprøjtepræparater af den art, der er egnede til brug i elektrodynamisk sprøjteteknik. De foregående midler kan være kationiske, anioniske eller ikke-ioniske midler. Egnede kationiske midler er kvaternære ammoniumforbindelser, f.eks.
25 cetyltrimethylammoniumbromid.
Egnede anioniske midler er sæber, salte af alifatiske monoestere af svovlsyre (f.eks. natriumlaurylsulfat) og salte af sulfonerede aromatiske forbindelser (f.eks. natriumdode-30 cylbenzensulfonat, natrium-, calcium- eller ammoniumligno-sulfonat, butylnaphthalensulfonat og en blanding af natrium-diisopropyl- og triisopropylnaphthalensulfonat).
Egnede ikke-ioniske midler er kondensationsprodukterne af ethylenoxid med fedtalkoholer, såsom oleyl- eller ætylalkohol, eller med alkylphenoler, såsom octyl- eller nonylphe-nol og octylcresol. Andre ikke-ioniske midler er partialestre-ne afledt af langkædede fedtsyrer og hexitanhydrider, kondensationsprodukterne af disse partialestere med ethylenoxid 25 DK 173341 B1 og lecithinerne. Egnede suspenderingsmidler er hydrofile kollo- ider (f.eks. polyvinylpyrrolidon og natriumcarboxymethylcel- lulose) og de vegetabilske gummier (f.eks. akaciegummi og traganth).

Midlerne til anvendelse som vandige dispersioner eller emulsioner leveres i almindelighed i form af et koncentrat indeholdende en høj mængde af den eller de aktive bestanddele, og koncentratet fortyndes så med vand før brugen. Disse kon-10 centrater skal ofte være i stand til at tåle lagring i læn gere tid og efter denne lagring kunne fortyndes med vand til dannelse af vandige præparatet, som forbliver homogene i tilstrækkelig tid til, at de kan udbringes med sædvanligt sprøjteudstyr og elektrodynamisk sprøjteudstyr. Koncentraterne kan 15 bekvemt indeholde op til 95%, hensigtsmæssigt 10 til 85%, f.eks. 25 til 60 vægt% af den eller de aktive bestanddele.
Disse koncentrater indeholder hensigtsmæssigt organiske syrer (f.eks. alkaryl- eller arylsulfonsyrer, såsom xylensulfonsyre eller dodecylbenzensulfonsyre), da tilstedeværelse af sådanne 20 syrer kan forøge opløseligheden af de aktive bestanddele i de polære opløsningsmidler, der ofte anvendes i koncentraterne. En blanding af 3-phenylphenol (5,00 g), methylbromacetat (3,1 ml) og kaliumcarbonat (8,1 g) i DMF blev omrørt ved stuetemperatur. Efter 5 timer blev reaktionsblandingen fortyndet med vand (100 ml) og derpå ekstraheret med ether. Methyl-(3-phenylphenoxy)acetat (6,0 g) og methylformiat (30,2 ml) blev opløst i DMF og sat dråbevis under omrøring til en suspension af natriumhydrid (1,44 g, 50% dispersion i olie) i DMF ved 0°C (isbad). Efter 45 minutter blev isbadet fjernet, 3 0 og reaktionsblandingen blev omrørt i 2 timer ved stuetemperatur. Vandig natriumcarbonat blev derefter tilsat. Dette eksempel beskriver fremstillingen af E-methyl-2-benzyl- 3-methoxypropenoat (forbindelse nr. 1 i tabel 1).
En blanding af methyl-3-phenylpropanoat (5,90 g) og methyl-formiat (50,5 g) i tør DMF (50 ml) blev sat dråbevis til en 20 omrørt suspension af natriumhydrid (2,00 g) i tør DMF (50 ml) ved en temperatur mellem 0 og 5°C (brusning). Efter tilsætningen blev blandingen omrørt ved 0°C i 1/2 time og ved stuetemperatur i 3 1/2 time og derpå hældt i en blanding af is og natriumcarbonat.

Den fremkomne blanding blev vasket med ether og derpå syrnet med koncentreret saltsyre og ekstraheret med ether. Ether- ekstrakterne blev vasket med vand, tørret og koncentreret til dannelse af methyl-2-benzyl-3-hydroxypropenoat (2,63 g).

Dette eksempel beskriver fremstillingen af E-methy1-2-(m-phenyl- benzyl)-3-methoxypropenoat (forbindelse nr. 5 i tabel 1).
5 3-phenylbenzylbromid (smeltepunkt 54-56°C) blev fremstillet ved belysning af en opløsning af 3-phenyltoluen og N-bromrav-syreimid i tetrachlorcarbon i nærværelse af azobisisosmør-syrenitril.

Opløsninger af dimethylmalonat (1,32 g) i tør methanol (15 ml) og 3-phenylbenzylbromid (2,47 g) i tør methanol (5 ml varm opløsning) blev sat i rækkefølge til en omrørt opløsning af natriummethoxid [af natrium (0,23 g) og tør methanol _ 15 (20 ml)J. Den fremkomne blanding blev omrørt i 2 timer ved stuetemperatur og i 2 timer under tilbagesvaling, derpå hældt i vand og ekstraheret med ether. Ekstrakterne blev vasket med vand, tørret, koncentreret og renset ved søjlekromatografi under anvendelse af en 1:1 blanding af dichlormethan og 2 0 o 40-60 C benzen som eluent til dannelse af methyl-(m-phenyl-benzyl)malonat (1,77 g, i 50%) som en gul olie, IR (film): 1755 og 1740 cm"1.
En blanding af dimethyl-(m-phenylbenzyl)malonat (1,00 g) og 25 lithiumchlorid (0,285 g) i vand (0,12 ml) og dimethylsulfoxid (8,5 ml) blev opvarmet til 165°C i 3 timer og fik så lov at afkøle, blev hældt i vand og ekstraheret med ether. Ekstrakterne blev vasket med vand, tørret, koncentreret og kromato- graferet under anvendelse af 10% ether i benzin som eluent 30 til dannelse af methyl-3-(m-phenylphenyl)-propanoat (0,65 g, 81%) som en farveløs olie, der er størknet ved henstand, smeltepunkt 29-30°C.
Parallelle reaktioner i større målestok gav en yderligere 35 prøve af methyl-3-(m-phenylphenyl)propanoat.
En opløsning af methyl-3-(m-phenylphenyl)propanoat (3,54 g) DK 173341 B1 31 i tør THF (20 ml) blev sat dråbpvis til en omrørt opløsning af lithiumdiisopropylamid [af diisopropylamin (2,23 g) og n-butyl-lithium (12,7 ml af en 1,6 M opløsning i n-hexan)] i THF (25 ml) ved -70°C. Efter 1/2 time ved -70°C blev tri-5 methylsilylchlorid (4,01 g) sat til reaktionsblandingen. Den blev omrørt i 5 minutter ved -70°C, fik så lov at opvarme til stuetemperatur og THF blev fjernet under reduceret tryk. Remanensen blev tritureret med tør ether, filtreret og filtratet igen koncentreret under reduceret tryk. Denne tritu-10 reringsbehandling blev gentaget og gav af filtratet en orange olie (5,53 g), hvis infrarøde spektrum udviste næsten ingen estercarbonylabsorption og en stærk top ved 1678 cttT*. Denne rå methylsilylenolether blev anvendt direkte til næste trin.

En opløsning af titantetrachlorid (1,61 ml) i tør dichlorme-than (4 ml) blev sat dråbevist til en omrørt opløsning af trimethylorthoformiat (1,45 ml) i tør dichlormethan (30 ml) ved -70°C (eksoterm). Efter 15 minutter ved denne temperatur blev en opløsning af den rå methylsilylenolether, beskrevet 20 ovenfor, (5,53 g) i tør dichlormethan (20 ml) tilsat dråbevis stadig ved -70°C (igen eksoterm). Efter yderligere 30 minutter ved samme temperatur blev 5% vandig kaliumcarbonat tilsat og blandingen blev ekstraheret med ether. Ektrakterne blev vasket med vand, tørret, koncentreret under reduceret 25 tryk og kromatograferet under anvendelse af 40% ether i benzin som eluent til dannelse af methyl-3,3-dimethoxy-2-(m-phenyl-benzyl)-propanoat [2,79 g, 60% udbytte af methyl-3-(m-phenyl-phenyl)propanoat] som en bleggul olie, IR (film): 1735 cm~*.

En opløsning af methyl-3,3-dimethoxy-2-(m-phenylbenzyl)pro-panoat (2,50 g) i tør THF (15 ml) blev sat dråbevis til en omrørt opløsning af lithiumdiisopropylamid [af n-butyl-lithium (5,9 ml) af en 1,6 M opløsning i n-hexan) og diisopropylamin (1,12 g)] i tør THF (15 ml) ved -78°C. Til 3-phenylanilin (8,02 g) blev sat svovlsyre (40 ml, 10%).
Den fremkomne hvide suspension blev afkølet til 0°C og derpå behandlet dråbevis med en opløsning af natriumnitrit (3,35 g) i vand (20 ml). Kobbersaltet af methylthioglycolat (dannet.
15 som et gult bundfald ved behandling af en vandig opløsning af kobbersulfat med methylthioglycolat) blev så tilsat portionsvis under omrøring. Opløsningen fik en brunlig farve og der udvikledes nitrogen. Opløsningen blev så overført til et 2 liter bægerglas, omrørt indtil stuetemperatur er nået 2 0 og så ekstraheret med diethylether (3 x 150 ml). De forenede organiske lag blev vasket i rækkefølge med 10% saltsyre (3 x 100 ml), 10% vandig natriumhydroxidopløsning (3 x 10 ml) og vand og derpå tørret. Afdampning af opløsningsmidlet gav 6,98 g råt produkt, der blev adskilt på silicagel (eluent 25 ethanol) til dannelse af methyl-(3-phenylthiophenoxy)acetat (6,60 g).
Methyl-(3-phenylthiophenoxy)acetat (6,60 g) og methylformiat (30,78 g) blev opløst i DMF (30 ml) og sat dråbevis ved 0°C 30 til natriumhydrid (0,83 g, 50% dispersion i olie) i DMF. Reaktionsblandingen blev omrørt ved 0°C i 45 minutter og så henstillet ved stuetemperatur under nitrogen weekenden over. Reaktionsblandingen blev så hældt i vand (300 ml) og vasket med diethylether (3 x 150 ml). Den vandige fase blev indstil-35 let til pH 7 med saltsyre og derefter ekstraheret med diethylether (3 x 100 ml). De forenede organiske ekstrakter blev DK 173341 B1 33 vasket i rækkefølge med vand (3 x 100 ml) og saltvand (2 x 75 ml) og så tørret. Filtrering og inddampning af opløsningsmidlet under reduceret tryk gav methyl-3-hydroxy-2-(3'-phenyl-thiophenoxy)propenoat (1,13 g), der blev anvendt uden yder-5 ligere rensning.
Methyl-3-hydroxy-2-(3'-phenylthiophenoxyJpropenoat (1,13 g) blev behandlet med dimethylsulfat (0,63 g) og kaliumcarbonat (1,17 g) i DMF (35 ml). Reaktionsblandingen blev oparbejdet 10 som før til dannelse af 0,91 g råt produkt. HPLC (eluent di- chlormethan) på silicagel gav titelforbindelsen (440 mg) som en olie, m/e 300 (M+), 268, 197, 75.
Eksempel 5.

Dette eksempel beskriver fremstillingen af Z-methyl-3-methoxy- 2- (N-methyl-31-phenylanilino)pr6penoat (forbindelse nr. 10 i tabel 1).
2 0 3- phenylanilin (7,80 g) blev omrørt i tør methanol (100 ml) med methylglyoxalat (4,10 g) i 1 time over 3 Ångstrømmolekylære sigter. En opløsning af natriumcyanborhydrid (1,48 g) i tør methanol blev derefter tilsat dråbevis, og den fremkomne blanding blev omrørt natten over. Reaktionsblandingen 25 blev filtreret, og filtratet blev koncentreret under reduceret tryk. Remanensen blev opløst i ether og derefter ekstraheret med 2M saltsyre. De vandige ekstrakter blev neutraliseret med natriumcarbonat og derpå ekstraheret med ether.
Inddampning af disse etherekstrakter gav rå methyl-(3-phenyl-30 anilino)acetat (5,76 g) som en brun olie. Reaktionen blev gentaget i større målestok (8,IX g) og gav 8,78 g produkt som en gul olie. Behandling af produktet (5,50 g) i 5 timer med methyl jodid (8,20 g) og kaliumcarbonat (6,83 g) i DMF (50 ml) gav methyl-(N-methyl-3-phenylanilino)acetat (4,33 35 1 g) som en brun olie ( H NMR (CDC1~) δ 3,10 (3H,s), 3,70 (3H, _ i s), 4,10 (2H,s) ppm, IR 1730 cm , 92% ren ifølge gc), der blev anvendt uden yderligere rensning.

Forbindelserne blev afprøvet over for forskellige løvbårne svampesygdomme på planter, Den anvendte teknik var som følger.

Planterne blev dyrket i John Innes pottejord (nr. 1 eller 2) i minipotter med en diameter på 4 cm. Forsøgsforbindelserne blev sammensat enten ved perleformaling med vandig Dis- persol T eller som en opløsning i acetone eller acetone/ethanol, 1 5 der blev fortyndet til den ønskede koncentration umiddelbart før brugen. Til de løvbårne sygdomme blev præparaterne (100 ppm aktiv bestanddel) sprøjtet på løvet og påført på rødderne af planterne i jorden. Tween 20 til en endelig koncentration på 0,05% blev tilsat, når sprøjtevæskerne blev anvendt til kornsorter.
Til de fleste af prøverne blev forbindelsen påført på jorden 25 (rødderne) og løvet (ved sprøjtning) 1 eller 2 dage før planten blev podet med sygdommen. En undtagelse var prøven med Erysiphe graminis, hvor planterne blev podet 24 timer før behandlingen. Løvpathogener blev påført ved sprøjtning som sporesuspensioner på bladene af forsøgsplanterne. Efter pod-30 ning blev planterne anbragt i passende omgivelser for at lade infektionen forløbe og blev så inkuberet, indtil sygdommen var parat til bedømmelse. Perioden mellem podning og bedømmelse varierede fra 4 til 14 dage afhængende af sygdommen og omgivelserne.
Sygdomsbekæmpelsen blev registreret efter følgende skala: 35 DK 173341 B1 39 4 = ingen sygdom 3 = spor - 5% sygdom på ubehandlede planter 2 = 6-25% sygdom på ubehandlede planter 1 « 26-59% sygdom på ubehandlede planter 5 0 * 60-100% sygdom på ubehandlede planter.

Undersøgelse på hele planter (2).

Forbindelserne nr. 1-3, 6-8, 12-19, 21, 23-24 blev afprøvede ved en alternativ undersøgelse på hele planter (2). Forbindelserne blev undersøgt for plantevækstregulerende virkning over for fem arter for forskellige vækstvirkninger, der er 10 relevante for plantevækstregulering.
Metode.
Plantearterne anvendt ved denne undersøgelse er vist i tabel 15
5 med det bladstadium, på hvilket de blev sprøjtet. Hvert kemikalie blev påført i en mængde af 4000 ppm (4 kg/fra i et 1000 1/ha markrumfang) bortset fra forbindelse nr. 2, der blev anvendt i en mængde af 1000 ppm (1 kg/ha i et 1000 1/ha markrumfang) under anvendelse af en liniesprøjte og en SS804E
20 (Teejet) dyse.
Efter sprøjtning blev planterne dyrket i et drivhus med 25°C
dag/22°C nattemperatur og supplerende lys blev giver, hvor det var nødvendigt (fra kviksølvlamper), således at der blev 25 en 16 timers fotoperiode. Undtagelserne herfra var temperaturkornsorterne hvede og byg, som blev dyrket i 16°C dag/13°C nattemperatur.
Efter 2-6 uger i drivhuset afhængende af tidspunktet på året 30 blev planterne bedømt visuelt for morphologiske egenskaber. Tompræparater blev anvendt som kontrol til bedømmelse af planterne. Resultaterne er vist i tabel 6.

In vivo-testen blev gennemført ved at benytte den generelle fremgangsmåde beskrevet i eksempel 16 med undtagelse af, at strobilurin A blev påført i en koncentration på 25 ppm i stedet for i en koncentration på 100 pj>m. En formuleret opløsning af strobilurin A blev fortyndet til 25 ppm i vand og 2,5 ml portioner blev anbragt i petriskåle. Disse blev yderligere fortyndet til 6,25 ppm (aktiv bestanddel) med kartoffeidextrose-agar.
5 Skålene blev indpodet med svampepatogenpme, som er vist nedenfor, ved anvendelse af enten spore-opslæmninger eller myceliepropper. Disse blev derefter inkuberet ved en passende temperatur (19-25°C) og vækstbedømmelser blev foretaget efter to dage ved anvendelse af et indeks på 0,2 eller 4. Resultater var som følger:
