Claims (17)

1. Kugleformede calciumcarbonat-partikler med en middelpartikeldiameter i området fra 0,05 pm til 1,75 pm og et vandindhold på højst 5,0 vægt-%, baseret på deres samlede vægt, kendetegnet ved, at - andelen af krystallinsk calciumcarbonat er mindre end 90 vægt-%, og - calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved man omsætter i) calciumchlorid med dialkylcarbonat i nærvær af et alkalimetalhydroxyd i en vandig opløsning, hvor man anvender komponenterne i følgende koncentrationer:
ii) adskiller og tørrer det produkt, der opnås.
2. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne har et vandindhold på højst 1,0 vægt-% baseret på den samlede vægt.
3. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved, at mindst 90,0 vægt-% af alle calciumcarbonat-partikler har en partikelstørrelse i området af middelpartikeldiametre -30 % indtil mid-delpartikeldiametre +30 %.
4. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at kvotienten af minimal partikeldiameter og maksimal partikeldiameter er større end 0,90 for mindst 90 % af alle partikler.
5. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at andelen af krystallinsk calciumcarbonat er mindre end 50 vægt-% baseret på deres samlede vægt.
6. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge krav 5, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-krystallerne har en partikelstørrelse mindre end 50 pm.
7. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne har en specifik overflade i området fra 2 m2/g til 20 m2/g.
8. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved det molære forhold mellem calciumchlorid og alkalimetalhydroxid i reaktionsblandingen vælges til at være større end 0,5 :1.
9. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved det molære forhold mellem calciumchlorid og dialkylcarbonat i reaktionsblandingen vælges til at være i området fra 0,9 :1,5 til 1,1 :1.
10. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved reaktionen gennemføres ved en temperatur i området fra 15 °C til 30 °C.
11. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved dimethylcarbonat anvendes som dialkylcarbonat, og natriumhydroxid anvendes som alkalimetalhydroxid.
12. Calciumcarbonat-partikler ifølge mindst et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at calciumcarbonat-partiklerne kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, hvorved reaktionsproduktet adskilles og tørres ved en temperatur i området fra 150 °C til 220 °C.
13. Anvendelse af amorft calciumcarbonat ifølge mindst et af kravene 1 til 12 som additiv eller modificeringsmiddel i papir, farver, kunststoffer, blæk, klæ- bestofferog farmaceutiske produkter.
14. Polymer-compound, indeholdende amorft calciumcarbonat ifølge mindst et af kravene 1 til 12.
15. Polymer-compound ifølge krav 14, indeholdende, respektivt baseret på sin samlede volumen, 99,9 vol.-% til 50,0 vol.-% af mindst en polymer og 0,1 vol.-% til 50,0 vol.-% kugleformede calciumcarbonat-partikler.
16. Polymer-compound ifølge krav 14 eller 15, indeholdende mindst en polymer, der kan bearbejdes termoplastisk.
17. Polymer-compound ifølge krav 14, 15 eller 16, indeholdende polyethylen, polypropylen, polystyren og/eller polymælkesyre.
