Claims (15)
- INTRAUTERINT DEPOT PATENTRKAV1. Intrauterint system (1) til tilbageholdelse af en biologisk aktiv forbindelse inde i uterus på et hunpattedyr, hvilket system omfatter: et depot (22) af forbindelsen, hvilket depot omfatter en hastighedsstyrende struktur (26), der styrer hastigheden for frigivelse af forbindelsen inde i uterus, og hvor depotet i alt væsentligt er formstabilt og ikke borteroderes under brug; en ramme (16), der definerer et indre rum (20) til modtagelse af depotet, hvilken ramme har en åben struktur, der tillader adgang til en væsentlig del af en ydre overflade af depotet; og ét eller flere tilbageholdelseselementer (6) til at holde rammen inde i uterus, kendetegnet ved, at depotet omfatter en polymermatrixkeme (24).
- 2. System ifølge krav 1, hvor rammen generelt er fleksibel og interagerer med depotet for at danne en mekanisk struktur med en stivhed, der er større end stivheden for enten depotet eller rammen alene.
- 3. System ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, hvor depotet er i form af et stangformet element med en periferioverflade og to endeoverflader.
- 4. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor rammen omfatter en åbning (332), der tillader indføring af depotet i det indre rum, og et lukkeelement (330) til lukning af åbningen.

- 8. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor depotet omfatter en hastighedsstyrende struktur omfattende en membran, der omgiver depotet, fortrinsvis omfattende en EVA-polymer med mindre end 40 %, mere fortrinsvis mindre end 33 % og mest fortrinsvis mindre end 28 % vinylacetat.

System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor depotet omfatter en progestogen steroidforbindelse, der er udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af nomegestrolacetat (NOMAc), naturligt progesteron, levonogestrel, etonogestrel, dydrogesteron, medrogeston, medroxyprogesteronacetat, megestrolacetat, chlormadinonacetat, cyproteronacetat, gestonoroncaproat, demegeston, promegeston, nesteron, trimegeston, norethisteron (norethindron), norethisteronacetat, lynestrenol, ethinodiolacetat, norethinodrel, norgestrel, norgestimat, gestoden, dienogest og drospirenon.
- 10. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor rammen har en åben struktur, der tillader adgang til mindst 50 %, fortrinsvis mindst 60 % og mere fortrinsvis mindst 70 % af en overflade af depotet.
- 11. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor depotet omfatter to endeoverflader og rammen dækker de to endeoverflader for at forhindre frigørelse af forbindelse derfra.
- 12. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor rammen omfatter en aflang stamme (4), hvori der er det indre rum, og tilbageholdelseselementeme omfatter arme, der strækker sig lateralt fra stammen.

Fremgangsmåde til dannelse af et intrauterint system, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter: dannelse af en ramme med et indre rum og en åben struktur; tilvejebringelse af et depot af en biologisk aktiv forbindelse, hvilket depot i alt væsentligt er formstabilt og ikke borteroderer under brug samt har en ydre overflade forsynet med en hastighedsstyrende struktur, hvor depotet er dannet ved coekstrudering af en polymermatrixkeme indeholdende forbindelsen og en hastighedsstyrende membran; og indsætning af depotet i det indre rum, således at en væsentlig del af den ydre overflade eksponeres gennem den åbne struktur.
