Claims (11)

1. Flydende biobrændstof, omfattende: 50 til 95 vægtprocent oxygenerede car-bonhydrider; 5 til 50 vægtprocent ikke-oxygenerede carbonhydrider; ikke mere end 15 vægtprocent vand; og ikke mere end 2.500 ppmw faststoffer, hvor det flydende biobrændstof har en tændingstemperatur i området 175 til 300 °C og en højere varmeværdi på mindst 20.934 kJ/kg (9,000 btu/lb).
2. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge krav 1 med en stabilitetsparameter på ikke mere end 0,02 Pa-s/h (20 cp/h), et oxygenindhold på ikke mere end 20 vægtprocent, et totalt syretal på ikke mere end 90 mg KOH/g, et indhold af hårde faststoffer på ikke mere end 1.000 ppmw og en viskositet ved 40 °C på ikke mere end 0,125 Pa-s (125 cps).
3. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 - 2 med et indhold af aromatiske forbindelser på mindst 40 vægtprocent baseret på den samlede vægt af de ikke-oxygenerede carbonhydrider og et phenolindhold på ikke mere end 80 vægtprocent baseret på den samlede vægt af de oxygenerede carbonhydrider.
4. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 - 3 med et 10 %-kogepunkt i området 160 til 420 °C, et 50 %-kogepunkt i området 340 til 520 °C, og et 90 %-kogepunkt i området 620 til 940 °C.
5. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 - 4 med en vægtfylde i området 0,75 til 1,1, et flammepunkt i området 40 til 120 °C, et calciumindhold på ikke mere end 5.000 ppmw, et kaliumindhold på ikke mere end 5.000 ppmw og et natriumindhold på ikke mere end 1.000 ppmw.
6. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 - 5, omfattende 75 til 90 vægtprocent af de oxygenerede carbonhydrider; 10 til 25 vægtprocent af de ikke-oxygenerede carbonhydrider; i området 2 til 10 vægtprocent vand; og ikke mere end 500 ppmw af faststofferne, hvor tændingstemperaturen er i området 210 til 265 °C, og den højere varmeværdi er i området 24.423 til 31.401 kJ/kg (10.500 til 13.500 btu/lb).
7. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 - 6, hvor det flydende biobrændstof er fremstillet via pyrolyse af biomasse.
8. Flydende biobrændstof ifølge krav 7, hvor pyrolysen er flashpyrolyse, og biomassen omfatter lignocellulosisk biomasse.
9. Fremgangsmåde til betjening af en brændstofdrevet indretning, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter: (a) forbrænding af petroleumafledt brændstof i en brændstofdrevet indretning, således at der derved frembringes termisk og/eller mekanisk energi; og (b) forbrænding af det flydende biobrændstof ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 -8 i den brændstofdrevne indretning, således at der derved frembringes termisk og/eller mekanisk energi, hvor den brændstofdrevne indretning ikke er mekanisk modificeret til at tage højde for brændstofændringen mellem trin (a) og (b), hvor det flydende biobrændstof fremstilles via pyrolyse af biomasse.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, hvor den brændstofdrevne indretning er en kedel, en turbine, en forbrændingsmotor eller et termisk oxideringsmiddel, hvor det petroleumafledte brændstof er fyringsolie.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 9-10, hvor varme-værdierne, vægtfylderne, tændingstemperaturerne og flammepunkterne af det flydende biobrændstof og det petroleumafledte brændstof er inden for 10 % i forhold til hinanden.
