Claims (10)
1. Katalysator til nedbrydning af lattergas indeholdende rhodium på en katalysatorbærer, idet katalysatorbæreren er fremstillet ved at blande et zirkoniumdioxidpulver sammen med en siliciumforbindelse som bindemiddel, i givet fald en poredanner, i givet fald en syre, vand samt i givet fald yderligere tilsætningsstoffer til en æltbar masse, homogenisering af massen, formgivning af massen til støbeforme, tørring og kalcinering, kendetegnet ved, at bindemidlet er udvalgt af siliciumforbindelser med de almene formler (I) til (VI) (Hal)xSiR4-x (I) (Hal) xSi (OR1) 4-x (II) (Hal) xSi (NR1R2) 4-x (III) RxSi(OR1)4-x (IV) RxSi (NR1R2) 4-x (V) (R1O)xSi (NR2R2)4-x (VI) hvor Hal uafhængigt af hinanden betegner halogen (F, Cl, Br eller I), R uafhængigt af hinanden betegner H eller en i givet fald substitueret alkyl-, alkenyl-, alkynyl-, cycloalkyl-, cycloalkenyl-, arylalkyl- eller arylgruppe, R1, R2 uafhængigt af hinanden betegner H eller en i givet fald substitueret alkyl-, acyl-, arylalkyl- eller arylgruppe, og x betegner 0 til 4.
2. Katalysator ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at der til fremstilling af katalysatorbæreren sammenblandes a) 50 til 98 vægt-% zirkoniumdioxidpulver, b) 2 til 50 vægt-% af siliciumforbindelsen som bindemiddel, c) 0 til 48 vægt-% poredanner og d) 0 til 48 vægt-% yderligere tilsætningsstoffer, idet summen af bestanddelene a) til d) giver 100 vægt-%, under tilsætning af vand og i givet fald en syre til en æltbar masse.
3. Katalysator ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved, at zirkoniumdioxidpulveret i det væsentlige består af monoklint zirkoniumdioxid.
4. Katalysator ifølge et af kravene 1 til 3, kendetegnet ved, at zirkoniumdioxidpulveret har en partikelstørrelse i området fra 0,2 til 50 pm.
5. Katalysator ifølge et af kravene 1 til 4, kendetegnet ved, at zirkoniumdioxidpulveret har en specifik BET-overflade i området fra 10 til 400 m2/g.
6. Katalysator ifølge et af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved, at katalysatoren på katalysatorbæreren endvidere indeholder yderligere grundstoffer fra den III. sidegruppe inklusiv lanthaniderne og/eller fra den VI. og/eller VIII. sidegruppe i det periodiske system.
7. Katalysator ifølge et af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved, at katalysatoren på katalysatorbæreren endvidere indeholder molybdæn.
8. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af katalysatorer til nedbrydning af lattergas, hvor man fremstiller en katalysatorbærer, fremstillet ved at blande zirkoniumdioxidpulver sammen med en siliciumforbindelse som bindemiddel, i givet fald en poredanner, i givet fald en syre, vand samt i givet fald yderligere tilsætningsstoffer til en æltbar masse, homogenisering af massen, formgivning af massen til støbeforme, tørring og kalcinering, idet bindemidlet er udvalgt af siliciumforbindelser med de almene formler (I) til (VI) (Hal)xSiR4-x (I) (Hal) xSi (OR1) 4-x (II) (Hal) xSi (NR2R2) 4-x (III) RxSi(OR1)4-x (IV) RxSi (NR2R2) 4-x (V) (R'O)xSi (NR2R2)4-x (VI) hvor Hal uafhængigt af hinanden betegner halogen (F, Cl, Br eller I), R uafhængigt af hinanden betegner H eller en i givet fald substitueret alkyl-, alkenyl-, alkynyl-, cycloalkyl-, cycloalkenyl-, arylalkyl- eller arylgruppe, R1, R2 uafhængigt af hinanden betegner H eller en i givet fald substitueret alkyl-, acyl-, arylalkyl- eller arylgruppe, og x betegner 0 til 4, gennemvæder med en rhodium-holdig opløsning, efterfølgende tørrer og kalcinerer.
9. Anvendelse af katalysatorer ifølge et af kravene 1 til 7 til nedbrydning af lattergas.
10. Anvendelse ifølge krav 9, idet den gasstrøm, som ledes over katalysatoren, indeholder op til 20.000 ppm N2O og derudover i givet fald endvidere op til 2.000 ppm NOX, op til 1 % H2O og/eller op til 5 % O2.
