Abstract

A fixture for a turning window incorporates a window arm 6 which at its end part is mounted pivotably in the window frame 2 and at its other end part is hinge- connected to an uppermost articulated arm 7 and a longer lowermost articulated arm 8. These articulated arms are rotatably mounted on a frame fastening 9, which is intended to be fitted to the window frame 3. On the frame fastening and the lowermost articulated arm there are interacting parts of a locking mechanism 10. On the other side of the centre of rotation 11 in the frame fastening 9, the lowermost articulated arm 8 is extended by a detached end part 12, which, together with a catch 14 mounted pivotably on the frame fastening, constitutes the locking mechanism, in which the catch in a working position constitutes a pressure-loaded distancing element between a stop 15, which is attached to the fastening, and the end part 12. A locking mechanism is thereby obtained which can easily be used for different window sizes and which is easily accessible in respect of all window sizes, even when the window is in inverted position. Moreover, the locking force is transmitted directly through the pressure-loaded distancing element without placing significant load upon the pivot 13 of the catch. <IMAGE>
