Abstract

El uso de una composición de combustible que incluye la principal concentración de combustible adecuada para ser utilizada en un motor de encendido por compresión, el combustible incluye uno o más hidrocarburos que entran en ebullición dentro del rango de ebullición de los combustibles diesel, 1 menos uno de estos componentes hidrocarburo fueron tratados con un material adsorbente o un metal adsorbente en una fase física diferente a la del componente hidrocarburo, preferiblemente para reducir el nivel de al menos un metal, más preferiblemente el nivel de al menos un metal más pasado, más preferiblemente el nivel del zinc, en dicho componente hidrocarburo, para reducir la emisión de NOx, y opcionalmente partículas, del motor de encendido por compresión hacia las cámaras de combustión de las cuales dicha composición de combustible se introduce, dicho tratamiento incluye la separación física del componente de hidrocarburo de la fase de adsorción o fase de adsorción de metal. Preferiblemente el nivel de depósitos en el motor luego del funcionamiento del mismo con dicha composición de combustible en el motor es menor que el nivel de depósitos en el motor luego del funcionamiento del motor con composición de combustible alternativa en el motor, dicha composición de combustible alternativa tiene esencialmente las mismas características que la composición de combustible pero el componente hidrocarburo no fue tratado con dicho material absorbente o metal adsorbente
