Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a dos formas polimórficas cristalinas del diclorhidrto de (2-bencidril-I-azobiciclo [2.2.2]oct-3-il)-(5-isopropil-2-metoxibencil)amida dihidrato son la forma I y la forma II. La composición farmacéutica que contiene por lo menos uno de estos polimorfos presenta una estabilidad ventajosa para preparar una formulación destina a tratar la emesis en pacientes que reciben quimioterapia. La administración de esta composición farmacéutica es oral convencional, preferiblemente mediante comprimidos o cápsulas o intravenosa. Se describe también un procedimiento para preparar las formas I y II.
