Abstract
La presente invención proporciona la enzima y los procedimientos enzimáticos para escindir el sitio de escición de a-secretasa de la proteína APP, y los correspondientes ácidos nucleicos, péptidos, vectores, células y aislados celulares y ensayos. También se proporciona una enzima que corta el sitio a-secretasa de APP. La invención además proporciona una proteína APP modificada y sus correspondientes ácidos nucleicos, péptidos, vectores, células y aislados celulares, y ensayos que son esencialmente útiles para identificar sustancias potencialmente terapéuticas en el tratamiento o la prevención de la enfermedad de Alzheimer.
