Abstract
Se describen polinucleótidos que codifican polipéptidos que comprenden la trayectoria biosintética para carotenoides y apocarotenoides en la planta de café. También se describen una secuencia promotora de un gen de carotenoide de café, y métodos para utilizar estos polinucleótidos, polipéptidos y secuencias promotoras para regulación genética y la manipulación de sabor, aroma, y otras características de los granos de café, así como también la manipulación de fotosíntesis en la planta de café.
