Abstract

El invento proporciona una rosa caracterizada por comprender una flavona y malvidina añadida a través de un método de modificación genética. La flavona y malvidina se producen típicamente por expresión de un gen transferido de flavona sintasa, gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa del pensamiento y gen de antocianidina metiltransferasa. El gen de síntesis de la flavona es, por ejemplo, un gen de síntesis de flavona de la familia Scrophulariaceae, y específicamente podría ser el gen de flavona sintasa del diente de león de la familia Scrophulariaceae, o el gen de flavona sintasa de torenia de la familia Scrophulariaceae. El gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa es, por ejemplo, el gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa del pensamiento. El gen de antocianidina metiltransferasa es, por ejemplo, el gen metiltransferasa de torenia de la familia Scrophulariaceae.
