Abstract
El invento proporciona una rosa caracterizada por comprender una flavona y delfinidina añadida mediante un método de modificación genética. La flavona y delfinidina se producen típicamente por expresión de un gen transferido de flavona sintasa y gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa, respectivamente. El gen de flavona sintasa es, por ejemplo, un gen de flavona sintasa de la familia Scrophulariaceae, y específicamente podría tratarse del gen de flavona sintasa del diente de león de la familia Scrophulariaceae, o el gen de flavona sintasa de torenia de la familia Scrophulariaceae. El gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa es, por ejemplo, el gen del flavonoide 3', 5'-hidroxilasa del pensamiento (Viola x wittrockiana).
