Abstract
Un conjunto de placas troqueladoras con aislamiento para utilizar en peletización sumergida en agua y otros procesos de granulación incluye una delgada y no interrumpida cámara de aire formada a través del conjunto de placas generalmente paralela a la superficie del troquel tal que la porción calentada corriente arriba del conjunto de placas troqueladoras es aislada de manera térmica desde la porción corriente abajo. La cámara de aire es equilibrada atmosféricamente al ventilar la cámara de aire hacia el ambiente. La pluralidad de agujeros de extrusión, bien sea individualmente o en grupos, son formados en extensiones de agujeros de extrusión que se extienden a través de la cámara de aislamiento de manera que el fundido del proceso a ser granulado pueda pasar a través de la misma. Las extensiones de agujeros y los componentes que forman la cámara de aire alrededor de las extensiones de agujeros son especialmente configurados para canalizar calor a lo largo de dichas extensiones para mantener el fundido del proceso en la misma a una temperatura deseada, para ayudar a dar rigidez al conjunto de placas troqueladoras y sellar mejor la cámara de aire.
