Abstract

Se ha encontrado que la combinación de un agente repelente o un agente atrayente con un agente indicativo visual específico de una longitud de onda produce un efecto inesperado y sinérgico de aumento de la repelencia o atracción en animales dicromáticos que no son máximamente sensibles a la longitud de onda del agente repelente o atrayente. El método de la invención puede usarse para repeler plagas de animales dicromáticos; o para prevenir o minimizar el daño económico, particularmente para productos agrícolas, recursos naturales o propiedad privada. El método de la invención puede usarse, además, para atraer animales dicromáticos con el propósito de la producción agrícola, oportunidades recreativas (por ejemplo, alimentadores de roedores silvestres), o la administración eficaz de compuestos farmacéuticos de animales objetivo o técnicas de mitigación.
