Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para producir harina de sangre que comprende los pasos posteriores de (i) proporcionar una mezcla acuosa que comprende sangre cruda, preferiblemente que tiene un contenido sólido de entre alrededor de 5 y alrededor de 18% en peso, y (ii) aumentar el contenido sólido de la mezcla para obtener una mezcla que tiene un contenido sólido de alrededor de 20% en peso o superior, preferiblemente entre alrededor de 20-80% en peso y (iii) secar y moler simultáneamente la mezcla resultante en un molino de turbulencia de aire, para obtener harina de sangre que tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio (d50) entre 20 µm y 0.7 mm, un d90 de menos de 1 mm medido con difracción láser usando un analizador de tamaño de partículas Beckman Coulter en polvo seco, y una digestibilidad ileal de alrededor de 85% o más, preferiblemente de alrededor de 87% o más, y más preferiblemente alrededor de 90% o más. La invención se refiere además a un producto de harina de sangre coagulada con alta digestibilidad ileal.
