Abstract
ESTA invención se relaciona con un método para procesar una mena de sulfuro que contiene valores metálicos que comprende la integración de una lixiviación en pilas de arena (10) y un proceso de flotación (12), proporcionando un método que es adecuado para procesar menas con cantidades significativas de sulfuros lixiviables. El método incluye un paso de trituración (14), y la clasificación de la mena triturada en una fracción gruesa de gran tamaño (16), en una fracción fina (18) apta para la flotación fina y opcionalmente en una fracción intermedia (20) apta para la flotación gruesa. Un concentrado (30) que contiene sulfuros de hierro a partir de un paso de flotación fina (22) y opcionalmente un concentrado (36) a partir de un paso de flotación gruesa (34) se mezclan con la fracción gruesa de gran tamaño (16), para obtener una mena mezclada (39) que se apila y se somete a un proceso de lixiviación en pilas (40).
