Abstract

Se da a conocer un método de recuperación de un metal, tal como cobre o níquel o cinc o cobalto, a partir de un material que contiene sulfuro metálico en un material extraído en mina a partir del cual “no era económico” recuperar metales usando opciones de recuperación convencionales antes de realizarse la invención. El método incluye mezclar (i) el material que contiene sulfuro metálico y (ii) pirita y formar aglomerados, lixiviar aglomerados con un licor de lixiviación y microbios y retirar un metal del material que contiene sulfuro metálico y formar un licor de lixiviación cargado que contiene metal, y recuperar el metal a partir del licor de lixiviación cargado. También se da a conocer una operación de lixiviación en pilas para un material que contiene sulfuro metálico. También se da a conocer un circuito de flotación para una planta de procesamiento de mena para un material que contiene sulfuro metálico.
