Abstract

Un método para aplicar una etiqueta a un recipiente el cual incluye una porción intermedia en la pared lateral del mismo que tiene una curvatura en la cual la altura de la porción curva tiene una altura que es una porción de altura total del recipiente, método que comprende: -Proporcionar una etiqueta rectangular de materialm encogible que tiene un borde anterior y un borde posterior, -Aplicar una tira de material de unión a lo largo de una linea que se extiende longitudinalmente entre los bordes longitudinales de la etiqueta en el área de la etiqueta que entra en contacto con la porción de mayor diámetro de la porción curva del recipiente, estando dicha tira de material de unión separada de los bordes anterior y posterior de la etiqueta, -envolver la etiqueta alrededor de la porcióncurva, quedando el material de unión adherido al recipiente en la porción de mayor diámetro, -traslapar los bordes anterior y posterior de la etiqueta. -unir los bordes anterior y posterior traslapados y encoger la etiqueta traslapada hasta que quede en posición sobre la porción curva del recipiente y la etiqueta pasen por un horno.
