Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a derivados del ácido arilsulfonil hidroxámico que son inhibidores de metaloproteinasas de la matriz o de la producción del factor de necrosis de tumor (a partir de aquí denominado TNF) y como tales son útiles en el tratamiento de un transtorno seleccionado entre el grupo formado por artritis, cáncer, ulceración de tejidos, reestenosis, enfermedad periodontal, epidermólisis vesicular, escleritis y otras enfermedades caracterizadas por actividad de metaloproteinasa en la matriz, asi como SIDA, septicemia, choque séptico y otras enfermedades que impliquen la producción de TNF.This invention relates to arylsulfonyl hydroxamic acid derivatives that are inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases or of the production of tumor necrosis factor (hereinafter called TNF) and as such are useful in the treatment of a disorder selected from the group formed by arthritis, cancer, tissue ulceration, restenosis, periodontal disease, vesicular epidermolysis, scleritis and other diseases characterized by metalloproteinase activity in the womb, as well as AIDS, septicemia, septic shock and other diseases that involve the production of TNF.
