Abstract
Se describen novedosos compuestos de úrea halo-Nsustituida y composiciones farmacéuticas que son inhibidores de la enzima, transferasa de proteína farnesilo. También se describe un método para inhibir la función de Ras y por lo tanto inhibir el crecimiento anormal de células. El método comprende administrar el compuesto de úrea halo-N-sustituida novedoso a un sistema biológico. En particular, el método inhibe el crecimiento anormal de células en un mamífero como es un ser humano.Novel halo-N-substituted urea compounds and pharmaceutical compositions are described which are inhibitors of the enzyme, farnesyl protein transferase. Also described is a method of inhibiting Ras function and therefore inhibiting abnormal cell growth. The method comprises administering the novel halo-N-substituted urea compound to a biological system. In particular, the method inhibits abnormal cell growth in a mammal such as a human.
