Definitions

  • the invention relates to a process for the production of patterned tiles from thermoplastic materials, in particular for floor coverings, wherein from solid and / or different colored chips, granules, particles, chips or the like. From thermoplastic materials by compression, such as rollers or presses , a rawhide sheet is produced and from this rawhide is cut to length and pressed to the tiles using heat and, if necessary, finally tempered.
  • thermoplastic materials by rolling and calendering, with patterns being produced by using differently colored particles of thermoplastic materials and sprinkling and incorporating such particles into the thermoplastic plastic web.
  • the object of the present application is to create inlaid tiles based on differently colored or patterned thermoplastic synthetic sheets.
  • the method according to the invention achieves the object in such a way that raw skins are stamped into segments from differently colored thermoplastic materials and the segments from at least two raw skins of different colors are joined together to form a plate and then the segments are applied using pressure and heat Inlaid tile pressed and welded together along the joints.
  • rawhides are made by rolling or pressing small particles of thermoplastic, but they are not yet fully compacted and have a rough surface.
  • the particles for the production of the rawhides can be based on a vinyl polymer and / or copolymers of vinyl chloride, such as polyvinyl chloride containing plasticizers and, if appropriate, further auxiliaries and fillers, stabilizers, color pigments, etc.
  • the particles can also contain, at least in part, other thermoplastic materials such as acrylates, polyesters, ethylene vinyl acetate, etc.
  • the particles can also be provided with a colored and / or conductive coating, for example based on colorants, soot pastes or metal pastes.
  • segments of the same type can be punched out according to predetermined punching templates and the segments can be exchanged for one another using the positive-negative method of the two different-colored raw skins and, accordingly, can be joined together to form a plate with inlays.
  • any shapes and inlays of different colors can be put together to form a plate, with practically no waste resulting from the mutual addition. That means the raw skins used are completely processed into inlaid tiles except for one edge section.
  • the inlaid panel which is made up of segments, is then pressed in a single operation using pressure and heat to form a homogeneous tile, while being welded together along the joints of the segments. There is no confluence and blurring of the contours, so that perfect, high-quality, inlaid tiles are created.
  • An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the raw skins are punched into a segment frame and loose segments and different colored segment frames and segments are joined together to form a plate.
  • a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention provides that the raw skins are punched in segments without punch play.
  • this has the disadvantage that difficulties may arise when the segments are joined to form the plates due to the lack of play.
  • these problems are countered by cooling the loose segments to be inserted into a segment frame to a temperature which is at least 5 ° C. lower than the temperature of the segment frame and then joining them in a cooled form to form the plate.
  • the pressing of the folded plates using pressure and heat is preferably done in so-called multi-level presses.
  • Floor presses of this type generally have predetermined dimensions of the press plates or press plate frames.
  • the inlaid tiles produced here can then be punched into format, depending on the desired size and shape of the inlaid tile.
  • a raw skin 11 is shown in a top view in FIG. 2.
  • the segments 11 A and 11 B are punched out of this raw skin 11 according to the size of, for example, the press plate frame of a deck press, leaving the edge section 11 C.
  • 11 legs represent segment frames, while 11 A are loose segments.
  • a segment frame 24 B and segments 24 A are punched in the same way from a second raw skin 24, which is colored differently from the raw skin 11 and is not shown here.
  • FIG. 3 shows how a segment frame 11 B with segments 24 A of different colors are assembled and inserted into a plate in a press plate frame 18. During the subsequent pressing using pressure and heat, the joints 26 are welded between segment frames 11 B and segments 24 A, and at the same time the raw hide segments are compacted and the plate is uniformly and uniformly compressed.
  • FIG. 4 shows the partial cross-section AA of FIG. 3 with the formation of the edge 18 A as a lateral boundary of the pressed sheet metal frame 18.
  • FIG. 5 schematically shows how inlaid tiles are produced from two raw skins 11, 24 of different colors by corresponding mutual supplementation.
  • the desired size of the inlay tiles and the specified size of the pressed sheet metal frame it is possible to subdivide the finished pressed inlay plate along the cutting edge 25 shown. It is also advisable to provide the pressed plate with a hem cut.
  • the outer shape of the inlaid tile does not have to be rectangular, it can also be triangular, hexagonal or in another curved shape that can be folded into continuous surfaces.
  • Chips, chips or the like of two made from single-colored or differently or multicolored thermoplastic plastics are placed on the conveyor belt 3 by a feed device 1 and fed to the rolling mill 4, 5 for producing the rawhide web.
  • the rawhide web 6 is then optionally fed to a smoothing unit or grinding rollers via take-off rollers and subsequently guided past the stamping device 9 for marking the rolling direction. This marking of the rolling direction serves to facilitate the insertion of the segments in the press plate frame.
  • the individual raw skins 11 are subsequently cut to length from the raw skin web 6 on the cross cutting device 10.
  • the punched segments are separated into the loose segments A, which are fed to a cooling device 14, and the remaining segments, in particular segment frames B, which are fed directly to an insertion device 17 for producing the inlaid panels.
  • the segments A are cooled in the cooling device to approx. 5 to 15 ° C., ie a temperature which is at least 5 ° C. below the room temperature at which the other segment parts B are stored.
  • segments A, B of different colors are joined to the plate 20 on the insertion device 17, which is provided with a press plate frame 18, covered on the upper side with a further press plate and then fed to the stack press 19.
  • the assembled plates 20 are then pressed and welded in the deck press 19 at pressures between 30 to 100 N / cm 2 and temperatures of 150 to 190 ° C. and press times between 20 and 80 minutes.
  • the pressures, temperatures and press times used depend on the thickness of the plates and the materials used.
  • the finished pressed plates 21 are removed from the press plate frame and fed to a format punch 22 for final external shaping.
  • the finished pressed inlay tile 23 is then subsequently tempered in order to reduce residual stresses in the material.
