Claims (10)

1. Cathode mouillable et échangeable, consistant en un corps solide, pour une cellule d'électrolyse à l'état fondu servant à la fabrication de l'aluminium, caractérisée en ce que la cathode consiste en un aluminiure d'au moins un métal du groupe formé par le titane, le zirconium, le hafnium, le vanadium, le niobium, le tantale, le chrome, le molybdène et le tungstène, sans phase de liaison en aluminium métallique.
2. Cathode consistant en corps solide selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle consiste en aluminiure de titane de la phase y existant entre TiAI et TiAi3.
3. Cathode en corps solide selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les composants autres que l'aluminium sont alliés avec les aluminiures en proportions supérieures aux proportions stoechiomé- triques.
4. Cathode en corps solide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce qu'elle consiste en éléments individuels échangeables, ayant à peu près les mêmes dimensions horizontales que les surfaces utiles des anodes.
5. Cathode en corps solide selon au moins une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisée en ce que les éléments consistent en éléments inférieurs associés dans des fixations.
6. Cathode en corps solide selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que les fixations des éléments inférieurs consistent en un matériau isolant résistant à l'aluminium fondu.
7. Cathode en corps solide selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que les éléments inférieurs consistent en plaques ou barreaux en disposition verticale.
8. Cathode en corps solide selon la revendication 7, caractérisée en ce que les éléments inférieurs consistent dans la partie supérieure (10, 20) en un aluminiure, alors que la partie inférieure (18, 26) en association mécanique rigide, et qui se trouve exclusivement dans le métal liquide, consiste en un matériau isolant résistant en l'aluminium fondu.
9. Cathode en corps solide selon au moins une des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisée en ce que la surface opératoire de la cathode utilisée est parallèle à celle de l'anode.
10. Cathode en corps solide selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce qu'elle consiste en billes et/ou grenaille d'aluminiure mises en tas sous la table d'anodes.
