Definitions
- the present invention relates to a system for protection against chemical, bacteriological and radioactive accidents.
- Its purpose is to allow to quickly bring to work the material necessary to effectively and at least temporarily house a relatively large number of personnel in order to possibly ensure decontamination and then ensure their evacuation .
- the system is essentially characterized in that mobile intervention units are distributed over a territory distributed in fixed shelters for vehicles and personnel and intended for transporting material used to contaminated places.
- mounting portable shelters that can accommodate a relatively large group of people who, usually after decontamination, are then evacuated, generally using the same vehicles.
- the silo shelter generally provided under the ground, comprises a protective slab 1 under which is one or more vehicles 2, two vertical sliding doors 3 with quick opening by gravity and slow closing coming to be housed in cavities 4 and two access ramps 5. It is also possible to provide a guard post 8 (eg for 4 men), a decontamination room 7, with an entry airlock 6, served by the mobile unit of the vehicle and an anti-neutron protection station.
- a guard post 8 eg for 4 men
- decontamination room 7 with an entry airlock 6, served by the mobile unit of the vehicle and an anti-neutron protection station.
- all-terrain road vehicles are used which allow normal speed on an open road and the crossing of minor obstacles at reduced speed.
- these vehicles will be standardized with other civil protection vehicles.
- the vehicle comprises a sealed cabin and the trays of the vehicle and of the trailer are designed to contain, after unloading of the material, the people to be evacuated (for example 100 in number).
- the shelter tent is formed by an envelope or cover 9 with a quadrangular section (for example 15 ⁇ 15 m) made of plastic or plasticized fabric.
- the four curved edges are lined with inflatable flexible tubes 10 forming a frame.
- a tent mat 11 is attached to the tent.
- the tent is surrounded by a tube or tube 16 filled with water (load: + 6 tonnes) ensuring anchoring to the ground by gravity.
- the entrance to the tent is provided with an airlock 12 which can be connected to a decontamination tent as shown in FIG. 6.
- the tent is brought to the vehicle 2 by being folded in a zig-zag. Unloading is carried out by mooring one end 19 at a fixed point, for example a shaft 20, and by advancing the vehicle.
- the tent can inflate without any other manual intervention by injecting air into the tent (arriving at 13) and into the frame tubes (arriving at 13 - Figure 3).
- the tent is unfolded so as to be presented successively as shown in Figures SA and 5B.
- the pressure in the tubes is sufficient to support the weight of the tent with the door open; the overpressure of the fan supplying the tent is sufficient to support the weight of the tent even if the frame tubes 10 are deflated.
- the anchor water tube 16 ( Figures 3 and 4) is filled with water.
- a reel nozzle 17 ( Figure 4) which provides permanent decontamination by washing dust on the outside of the tent.
- the runoff water is collected at the bottom of the walls of the tent in a gutter 14, from where it arrives, passing through collectors 15, to a circular evacuation pipe 18, then is returned towards the top to the nozzle 17 after filtering and centrifugation.
- the anchor rod 16 constitutes a reserve of water for general use.
- This garment is formed of a piece 29 of a flexible non-stretch fabric which can completely absorb them from all chemical or bacteriological agents. It can be closed or opened by a waterproof pull tab 32.
- It includes a light helmet 30 with wide visor 31 (FIG. 7A) transparent and non-flammable, gloves 33 and slippers 34 fixed to the garment, elastic in the same material as the rest of the garment but without textile support.
- wide visor 31 FIG. 7A
- gloves 33 and slippers 34 fixed to the garment, elastic in the same material as the rest of the garment but without textile support.
- the sleeves 33 are wide, triangular allowing easy release of the hands to have at least one free hand inside the garment.
- Each sleeve is wide enough to allow complete freedom of movement: wipe the visor fog, change glasses, consult a map or compass, adjust a radio receiver, eat, eliminate droppings.
- the interior space of the garment can be large enough to carry a child or a pet.
- the indoor air is regenerated by a purifier in a closed circuit, the air circulation being ensured without mask by an injector using the energy of the oxygen contained in the or-the carboys 39, the absorption of C02 being ensured by alkaline granules (8 hours autonomy) contained in the cartridge 38.
- the injector-granule capsule assembly is made of molded plastic which is not recovered after use.
- the weight of the air regenerator, carboys and capsules (6 kg) is taken up by the shoulders thanks to a harness (35 suspenders) incorporated into the suit.
- This harness carries rings 44 where the bag 36 containing food and accessories and possibly the baby carrier 37 are attached.
- the jumpsuit is put on over the clothes except for the shoes. It requires no learning or adjustment; the respiratory system is turned on or off by opening or closing the cylinder (s).
- the ready-to-use suit is folded in a waterproof plastic bag with quick opening device.
- the pull tab 32 (FIGS. 7B, 7C, 7D) is waterproof except for a few millimeters at the level of the cursor 42.
- a sealing device 40 of this part comprises an elastic capsule 41, inflated with oxygen by a pipe 45 and which, as soon as the air regenerator is in operation, is applied against the cursor 42 and provides sealing total.
