Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electromagnetic relay with a coil, the axis of which is parallel to the base plane of the relay and the core at one end forms a pole face for an armature mounted on a yoke edge, with an insulating carrier connected to the coil body, which in the region of the the armature facing coil flange carries two perpendicular to the base plane, provided with connection elements counter-contact elements, of which the first has a first contact section and the second two parallel planes, offset by multiple angular sections, the one forming the free end of this second counter-contact element Section as the second contact section is flush with the first contact section, and with a bridge contact spring attached to the armature, which in its first switching position bridges the first and the second contact section.
  • Such a relay is known from US-A-4 254 391, two counter-contact elements for the bridge contact being fastened one behind the other on the base body and perpendicular to the base plane at a relatively short distance from one another.
  • the second bridge contact element is longer than the first and bent over the free end of the first so that its contacting section lies above the first in its plane. Since the two mating contact elements are guided parallel to each other at a short distance, an additional insulating liner is required, which is integrally formed in the body in the citation.
  • this known relay needs an additional stop in the idle state of the armature, which is created by an appropriate design of the base body.
  • relays with a contact spring attached directly to the armature are known (DE-U-6 940 437). They are used for switching relatively high currents at relatively low voltages, for example in motor vehicles or the like.
  • the contact spring on the armature which cooperates with one or two counter-contacts, usually has a power connection in the form of a stranded wire, which leads via the yoke or directly to its own soldering or plug-in connection.
  • the contact spring also forms a make or break contact only with a counter contact element, while a stop is provided for the rest position of the contact spring and thus also of the armature instead of the second counter contact element mentioned above.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a simple relay of the type mentioned, in which the mating contact elements of the bridge contact arrangement are arranged and designed such that the relay can have the same dimensions as a conventional changeover contact relay and that this relay can be used without additional measures or elements has a precisely defined stroke limitation for the armature or the contact spring attached to the armature.
  • this object is achieved in that the second mating contact element with its section facing the connecting element faces the first contact section in such a way that it includes the bridge contact spring and the bridge contact spring rests against this section in its second switching position and that the second mating contact element with its angled one Area that crosses the level of the bridge contact spring.
  • the contact spring is arranged between the two mating contact elements as in a changeover contact arrangement.
  • the contact spring serving as a contact bridge is in contact with both counter-contact elements in a switching state.
  • the second counter-contact element also serves to limit the stroke of the armature, so that no stroke adjustment is necessary.
  • the contacts are expediently adjusted in such a way that the closing and opening takes place.
  • a longitudinal contact piece can also be used, so that the spring no longer has to carry current. This has the advantage that cheap spring material can be used.

  • This contact section 12 is arranged at a distance above the counter-contact section 9 so that it is flush with the latter.
  • Both the counter-contact element 9 and the contact tab 12 are each provided with a contact rivet which cooperate with corresponding contact rivets of the contact spring 7 as a bridge contact.

Description

Fig. 9 und 10 zeigen Weiterbildungen dieser Kontaktfeder.
