Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gas-heated hair waving device with a fuel tank and a gas supply device between the fuel tank and a combustion chamber inside the hair waving device.
  • a hair waving device of DE-A-2 948 857 Such a hair waving device of DE-A-2 948 857.
  • the fuel tank is an integral part of the device handle.
  • the housing of the handle part forms the wall of the fuel tank.
  • the fuel tank is filled via a filling valve, which is arranged on the free end face of the handle part.
  • the invention has for its object to design a gas-heated hair waving device of the type mentioned so that even technically inexperienced people can easily fill the emptied hair waving device with fuel without impurities getting into the interior of the hair waving device.
  • the main advantage of the invention is that when filling with fuel there is no longer a need to handle a pressurized fuel liquid.
  • the empty fuel cartridge is simply removed from the hair waving device and a new, filled fuel cartridge is inserted. This makes it possible to dispense with the filling valve on the hair waving device, in which experience has shown that dirt easily collects, which - as explained above - can then get into the hair waving device when refilling.
  • the fuel cartridge has an insertion opening which is closed by an elastic component
  • the injection needle is enclosed in a sealing manner as soon as it penetrates the cartridge.
  • the elastic component which preferably consists of an elastic synthetic rubber with a Shore A value of approximately 60 to 70, completely closes the piercing opening even when a fuel cartridge that has not yet been completely emptied is pulled out of the hair waving device. This prevents fuel gas from flowing out of the fuel cartridge into the environment in a simple manner, especially when an allegedly empty fuel cartridge is removed from the hair waving device and z. B. will become in the trash can.
  • the handle part of the hair waving device and the fuel cartridge can, for. B. consist of a particularly abrasion-resistant plastic, while using a transparent material for storing the fuel liquid is particularly suitable for the fuel cartridge.
  • a transparent material makes it possible to recognize the respective amount of fuel at a glance.
  • the injection needle has a closed, rotationally symmetrical tip and a transverse bore is provided in front of this tip, through which the interior of the hollow needle shaft has a connection to the outside.
  • a hollow needle can be stood particularly easily by the elastic component.
  • this shape of the needle tip creates a hole shape in the elastic component which closes itself particularly well as soon as the needle is pulled out again.
  • a particularly functionally reliable embodiment of the hair waving device according to the invention results from the features of the elastic component mentioned in claim 3.
  • the embodiment according to claim 4 is also characterized by manufacturing advantages when assembling the cartridge.
  • a sintered part is preferably integrated into the gas outlet opening of the fuel cartridge in the hair waving device according to the invention, which is arranged according to claim 5 in the elastic component and / or in a cylinder protruding into the interior surrounding the gas outlet opening.
  • This sintered part acts in a manner known per se as an evaporator for the fuel stored in liquid form in the cartridge. Due to its arrangement in the replaceable fuel cartridge, there is the great advantage for the hair waving device according to the invention that it is equipped with a new evaporator each time the cartridge is changed. In this way, a difficult problem of previously known hair waving devices is completely solved, in which the sintered part permanently installed in the device becomes more and more clogged over the course of time, so that the flow resistance increased and the heating power of the device decreased.
  • the sintered part integrated into the cartridge according to the invention has the advantage that it acts as a throttle because it limits the maximum amount of gas flowing out per unit of time. Assuming that the seal of the elastic component would be defective, the sintered part arranged according to the invention would prevent a safety risk being caused by the current flow of the entire gas quantity.
  • further advantageous embodiments of the hair waving device according to the invention are characterized in that the interior of the fuel cartridge contains porous, absorbent material which can consist, for example, of open-pore plastic foam, synthetic fibers and / or in particular activated carbon. Such materials are suitable for cleaning the fuel stored in the cartridge from any impurities contained therein, such as suspended particles or oily residues. In the embodiment according to claim 8, they also ensure that the remaining fuel is evenly conducted to the wick even when the cartridge content is running low in every position of use of the hair waving device.
  • the fuel cartridge is transparent and is held in the handle part of the hair waving device by an open cap on the front. This configuration ensures that, even when the fuel cartridge is inserted into the hair waving device, one can see at a glance from the rear face of the handle part whether liquid fuel is still present in the cartridge.
  • cap can be screwed onto the handle part.
  • the hair waving device shown in Figure 1 consists essentially of a handle part 1, in which one end of a rod body 2 is held.
  • a gas-operated heater 3 is arranged in the rod body 2, and the gas is supplied via a gas supply device 4 so that it can burn in a combustion chamber 5.
  • the gas supply device 4 has a valve device 6 which can be opened and closed manually by means of a switch 7, as a result of which gas supply from the fuel tank 8 to the heater 3 is released or blocked.
  • the fuel tank 8 is designed as a fuel cartridge 9, which is inserted into the handle part 1 from the right in the drawing.
  • the gas passes from the fuel cartridge 9 via the hollow injection needle 10 to the gas supply device 4 and thus to the heater 3.
  • Examples according to the invention for the design of the fuel cartridge 9 in the area of the injection needle 10 and with regard to the shape of the injection needle 10 are shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 .
  • the fuel cartridge 9 has a cylinder 11 drawn into its interior.
  • this cylinder 11 sits the cup-shaped, elastic component 12, which was inserted in this cylinder from the right in the drawing.
  • Coaxial to the elastic component 12 there is an insertion opening 14 in the spherical end face 13 of the fuel cartridge 9, which is closed by the elastic component 12 when the fuel cartridge 9 is not inserted into the handle part 1.
  • the injection needle 10 passes through this piercing opening 14 and pierces the end face of the elastic component 12, which can be seen in FIG. 2. So that the piercing is easy, the injection needle 10 has a rotationally symmetrical closed tip 15. The gas can flow from the cartridge into the hollow shaft of the injection needle 10 and further to the combustion chamber 5 through the transverse bore 16.
  • a sintered part 17 is provided which serves to evaporate the liquid fuel supplied by the wick 18. It is essential for the invention that the sintered part 17 is arranged in the fuel cartridge 9, so that each time a fuel cartridge 9 is replaced, a new sintered part 17 is used.
  • the elastic component 12 ' is designed as a disk or stopper and z. B. by means of a positive and / or non-positively fixed in the enlarged insertion opening 14 press ring 21 sealed in the insertion opening 14.
  • the sintered part 17 ′ which is arranged in the cylinder 11 projecting into the interior of the fuel cartridge and on which the wick 18 opens, serves as the evaporator.
  • the wick 18 is preferably guided in such a way that it bears at least in sections on the inner wall of the cartridge and in particular follows it in a complete circumferential turn.
  • the arrangement of the wick has the advantage that it is always reached by the fuel residue even when the cartridge is almost empty and directs it to the evaporator.
  • the interior of the fuel cartridge 9 contains porous, absorbent material 23 which, when it is in contact with the wick 18, supports its function and the rest Fuel removes any contaminants.
  • An additional useful measure which prevents dirt from getting into the burner of the hair waving device when a new cartridge is inserted, consists in the context of the present invention in that the piercing opening 14 of the cartridge 9, as shown in FIG. 3, has a smooth, thin-walled protective cap 22 is covered, which can be easily and thoroughly cleaned before inserting the cartridge and which does not provide any noticeable resistance to the penetration of the pointed injection needle 10.
  • the integrity of this protective cap 22 guarantees that it is a new cartridge from which no fuel has yet been removed.
  • FIG. 1 It can be seen there that the fuel cartridge 9 is prevented from falling out of the handle part 1 by a cap 19 which is screwed up from the rear end side of the handle part 1.
  • This cap 19 has an end opening 20 through which the fuel cartridge 9 inserted into the handle part 1 is visible from the outside. If the fuel cartridge 9 is made of a transparent plastic, it can be seen at a glance through the opening 20 whether there is still fuel-liquid in the fuel cartridge 9.
  • the cap 19 must first be unscrewed. Then pull the fuel cartridge 9 out of the handle part 1. As soon as the injection needle 10 has come out of the elastic component 12, it closes the insertion opening 14 in a gas-tight manner, so that the fuel cartridge 9 cannot release gas even if it should not be completely empty when it is pulled out. A new fuel cartridge 9 can then be inserted.
  • the puncture needle 10 may first pierce the protective cap 22 and then the elastic component 12 and establish a connection to the gas supply device 4 and thus to the heater 3 via its transverse bore 16.
  • the axial movement of the fuel cartridge for the purpose of piercing the elastic component 12 can be generated in that the cap 19 is screwed onto the handle part 1 and thereby moves axially exactly to the extent that the injection needle 10 penetrates the fuel cartridge 9 by a predetermined amount .
