- the present invention relates to the manufacture of a granulated fertilizer, more particularly by treatment of vinasse.
- vinasses come from wine distilleries, sugar refineries and beet and cane distilleries. Conveniently concentrated (dryness of 50 to 60% for example), it is possible to burn them in a boiler whose burners they supply, in a manner analogous to black liquor in paper mills, the minerals contained in vinasses being recovered at the base of the boiler hearth in the form of ashes in the molten state, as described in document EP-A-48,061. These ashes contain potassium salts which can be used as fertilizer and for this use it is advantageous to obtain them in the form of granules.
