Definitions

  • the invention relates to a built-in sink with a waste opening, a support device arranged under and held by the built-in sink for a waste container which can be attached under the waste opening, and a waste shaft which extends downward from the underside of the sink and which comprises the waste opening.
  • DE-A-3313366 shows such a built-in sink, in which the waste shaft forms the carrying device and the waste container has the shape of a waste bag, which can be interchangeably attached to the lower end of the waste shaft.
  • a sink which, in addition to a large sink and in front of a small sink, has a waste opening under which a waste container can be arranged.
  • the waste container has the shape of a waste bin, which is on the inside a door of an under-counter cabinet carrying the sink is suspended, which has two disadvantages: on the one hand, the arrangement of the waste opening in the sink is not free and on the other hand the waste bin is at a considerable distance below the waste opening (yes because of the depth of the small basin of the known sink directly adjacent to the rear edge of the waste opening), so that waste and splashed water and the like thrown into the waste opening pass the waste bin onto the floor of the base cabinet and / or the inside of the base cabinet door and the undercabinet walls can get dirty.
  • a bowl-shaped waste container is arranged under a waste opening, which normally rests with its upper edge against the underside of the sink and thereby encompasses the waste opening.
  • This bowl can be lowered by an actuating device and swiveled by 180 ° about a horizontal axis, whereby the bowl is emptied into a waste bin, which is located at a suitable distance below the sink and is held by a carrying device attached to the underside of the sink .
  • This carrying device has at its lower end horizontal guide rails, in which the waste bin is displaceably guided with edge regions bent outwards, so that it can be removed from the carrier device by pulling it out of these guide rails.
  • This bottom flap is normally held in its closed position by an elastic band or the like; For this purpose, a hook is attached to the inner wall of the shaft-like waste container, into which the elastic band attached to the top of the bottom flap can be hung.
  • the invention had for its object to develop a built-in sink of the type mentioned, which allows a waste container of relatively large volume to be used and which is easy to assemble and handle.
  • the built-in sink according to the invention has a number of advantages: Instead of the garbage bags which are always to be kept in stock and which are laborious and risky to replace, a relatively large volume can be used Waste bins are used, which can be easily removed and emptied from the built-in sink device according to the invention and a base cabinet supporting it;
  • the waste chute can be designed as a very simple part, so that it can be easily cleaned, and it ensures that waste thrown into the waste opening as well as liquids accumulating on the top of the sink safely get into the waste bin without the easy removal of the waste bin the built-in sink device would be hindered;
  • the entire built-in sink device can be manufactured as a preassembled unit, so that it only has to be inserted by a fitter into a section of a base cabinet cover plate and fastened there;
  • the construction can be designed so that the waste chute is inserted into the waste opening from above and can consequently be removed upward from the built-in sink construction so that it can be cleaned in
  • the natural slope angle that forms in the waste bin ensures that there is still a free space on the side in which the waste standing in the waste shaft can fall, if the trash can is pulled out from under the built-in sink, so that it can be avoided in any case that garbage falls into the undercounter cabinet carrying the built-in sink when the waste bin is pulled out.
  • the waste shaft could, for example, be welded to the underside of the built-in sink or molded onto it in the case of a plastic sink.
  • the construction is particularly easy to manufacture if the upper end of the waste chute simply lies against the underside of the sink. It would also be conceivable that the waste shaft has a cutout in its front wall below, into which the waste bin is inserted from the front. Special constructions are not necessarily required for the waste bin, since a conventional waste bin with an outwardly curved upper edge can be used, the latter forming the lateral supporting elements with which the waste bin is inserted into guide rails of the carrier device.
  • the waste chute can be held by the carrying device and placed against the underside of the sink.
  • the carrying device itself or be part of the carrying device, in particular in that its upper area is fastened to the underside of the built-in sink in the area of the front edge of the built-in sink and the lower area indirectly engages the front areas of the guide rails mentioned or carries directly.
  • the actual built-in sink (10) shown in FIG. 1 has a circumferential raised support rim (20) with which it rests on a table or cover plate of a kitchen built-in piece of furniture, not shown, in the form of a base cabinet.
  • the shape of this table top has a cutout that is adapted to the built-in sink (10), into which the areas of the built-in sink located below the supporting edge (20) engage.
  • the supporting edge (20) thus carries the entire construction according to the invention.
  • the actual built-in sink (10) comprises - according to FIG. 1 from right to left - a sink (22), next to it a waste opening (24) one behind the other (see also FIG. 2a) with a circumferential, recessed one Attachment rim (26) for placing a lid (28), a residual trough (30) and a fitting base (32), which is followed by a draining surface (34) provided with ribs projecting upwards. All of these areas are enclosed by the supporting edge (20), and a step (36) forming a closed line comprises the drainer (34), the residual trough (30) and the sink (22).
  • the bottom 34a of the draining surface 34, an edge region 22a surrounding the sink 22 and a surface 40 surrounding the residual trough 30 form a single plane which preferably has a gradient from left to right in the direction of the sink 22 according to FIG. 1. Drain openings of the sink 22 and the residual trough 30 were designated 42 and 44, respectively.
  • the step 36 ensures that dripping, splashing and splashing water occurring in the areas of the draining surface 34, the residual trough 30 and the sink 22 cannot run into the waste opening 24.
  • FIGS. 2, 2a, 2b and 3 The parts of the installation unit according to the invention located below the actual built-in sink 10 will now be explained with reference to FIGS. 2, 2a, 2b and 3.
  • two threaded bolts 48 are fastened, in particular welded, to the underside of the latter, with the aid of which nuts 50 50 two brackets 52 were fastened to the underside of the built-in sink.
  • a closure plate 54 is welded to this, which has an opening 56 in its front region, to which an ejection chute 58 adjoins at the top, which is welded to the closure plate 54 or fastened to it in another way.
  • a mounting bracket 60 is welded to the front wall of the discharge chute, which is connected by means of one or more screws and nuts to a mounting bracket 62 which was welded to the underside of the built-in sink 10, specifically in the area of the front part of the support edge 20.
  • the discharge shaft 58 carries the front part of the closure plate 54.
  • the carrier 52 and the mounting bracket 62 it can also be achieved that the upper end of the discharge chute 58 is pressed firmly against the built-in sink 10 from below.
  • a waste bin 66 On the closure plate 54 two guide rails 64 are integrally formed, in which from the front, d. H. 3 from the right, a waste bin 66 can be inserted.
  • this has an approximately rectangular shape in plan view, its narrow sides being turned forwards or backwards. At least on its two long sides, it has support webs 68 which rest on the guide rails 64 when the waste bin is pushed in.
  • a pivotable support bracket 72 is articulated in the region of its upper edge at 70, which in the pivoted-down state rests on the support webs 68 of the waste bin.
  • a film bag 74 can be inserted into the waste bin 66, the upper edge region of which is drawn around the support webs 68 and engages around and under them, with the support bracket 72 pivoted downward further contributing to fixing the upper edge of the film bag.
  • a collar 78 is molded onto the built-in sink, which is surrounded by the attachment edge 26 and which fits into the discharge chute 58 as well as possible, so that liquid reaching onto the attachment edge 26 is applied to all Cases in the discharge chute 58 is passed and thus gets into the film bag 74, but can not flow into the space of the fitted kitchen furniture below the built-in sink 10.
  • a protective shaft 80 is inserted into the discharge shaft 58 from above, on the upper edge of which a circumferential flange 22 is formed.
  • This is overmolded with a seal designated 84 as a whole, which consists in particular of soft PVC and for fixing the flange 82 has holes 86 which are filled with the material of the seal 84.
  • the seal 84 serves a dual purpose: on the one hand, it seals between the flange 82 and the fitting edge 26, and on the other hand between the flange 82 and the cover 28. It is advantageous if the height and thickness ratios that result Fig. 2a remove, are chosen so that the edge of the cover 28 does not protrude beyond the field 37 of the actual built-in sink 10, which surrounds the attachment edge 26 and lies between the step 36 and the supporting edge 20.
  • the protective shaft 80 ends at the level of the closure plate 54, so that it does not hinder the pushing in and pulling out of the waste bin 66 from the guide rails 64. It is also expedient to design the waste bin 66 and the guide rails 64 so that the upper edge of the waste bin is at a distance below the closure plate 54. Finally is the front area of the closure plate 54 is bent obliquely upwards, as can be seen in FIG. 3, in order to make it possible to insert the waste bin 66 into the guide rails 64 coming obliquely from above.
  • the front region of the waste bin 66 lies below the discharge shaft 58, as can be seen in FIG. 3. This creates an empty space 92 in the waste bin behind the waste 90, into which that part of the waste that is still in the protective shaft 80 can fall, and specifically when the waste bin 66 in the direction of arrow A (see FIG. 3) to the front is pulled out of the guide rails 64.
  • the support bracket 62 in its folded-down position projects so far forward over the waste bin 66 that the waste bin definitely closes its rear insertion end position when a door 94 of the built-in kitchen sink receiving the sink is closed in FIG. 3 is pushed.
  • the width of the upper opening of the waste bin 66 is equal to or slightly larger than the width of the discharge shaft 58, so that the waste falls into the waste bin even when the protective shaft 80 is not inserted.
  • a further waste container can be accommodated below the sink 22 and next to the waste bin 66.
  • Fig. 3 shows that the Space above the waste bin 66 and behind the chute 58 can be used for the residual trough 30.
  • the distance "B” is still entered, which should be matched to the so-called grid dimension (60 cm) of fitted kitchens.
  • This grid dimension is the width of a so-called base cabinet, and dimension "B” should correspond to the clear width of such a base cabinet between its side walls, so that the area of the construction according to the invention which contains the sink 22 and that in FIG. 2 as a whole 14 designated holder for the chute 58 and the trash can 66, fits between the two side walls of such a base cabinet.
  • This dimension "B” depends on the thickness of the side walls of a base cabinet and is slightly smaller than 60 cm; in the preferred embodiment of the built-in sink according to the invention, dimension "B” is approximately 56 cm.
