Abstract

Ein Filzkörper, insbesondere ein Filzring als technisches Hilfsmittel für Polier- und Schleifarbeiten sowie ein Verfah­ ren zur Herstellung eines Filzkörpers sollen eine verbesserte Einsatzfähigkeit beim Schleif- und Poliervorgang ermögli­ chen.
Hierzu enthält der Filzkörper (11, 21) zumindest 35% Wolle od. dgl. Haarelemente, und in Hohlräume seines Filzgewirrs sind Schleif- bzw. Polierkörner einer Korngröße unter 100 µm eingeschlossen. Zudem soll der nicht aus Wolle od. dgl. Haarelementen bestehende Anteil des Roh­ stoffes nicht mehr als 20 Volumenprozente betragen und/­ oder die Korngröße der Einschlüsse unter 250 µm liegen.
Das Verfahren zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß in Wasser­ schleifkörner mit einer Konzentration bis 500 gr je Liter H₂O, bevorzugt 20 bis 100 gr, eingebracht werden, daß dieses Gemisch als Arbeitsflüssigkeit in einen Rohling mit zumin­ dest 35% Wolle od. dgl. Haarelementen eingepreßt und dieser Filzkörper anschließend getrocknet wird.
