- the present invention relates to front jaws for safety ski bindings according to the preamble of the main claim.
- Such front jaws are already known from various publications (e.g. DE-AS 1809889 and 1910808), but have so far not been used in practice. Compared to other known toes of the genus on the market, they have the advantage that their side jaws follow a pivoting movement of the ski boot in the elastic region of the front jaw, so that friction between the side jaws and the sole of the shoe is avoided in this area. As a result, there is only a low sensitivity to the pressure exerted by the heel holding device and a relatively good resetting behavior.
- each side jaw is assigned a locking part designed as a locking pin and that the lever on the extension of the side jaw is a latch lever which engages behind the locking pin and for which a base plate-fixed stop is provided.
