- Known powder-operated setting tools generally have a pressure lock, which ensures that the propellant charge can only be ignited if the mouthpiece of the device is pressed against a surface in the setting direction.
- the mouth part can be shifted backwards into a ready-to-ignite position in a housing, the tension spring of an ignition mechanism known per se usually being compressed.
- the object of the invention is to provide a pressure protection device which the triggering of an ignition process is excluded if there is no fastening element in the muzzle bore.
- the object is achieved in that the slide, in the end position projecting into the axial projection of the end face of the housing, displaces the mouth has part in the ready-to-fire stop shoulder.
