Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a cutting pliers which can be utilized for cleaning and changing of parts of welding torch which be used about gas shielded arc welding, inert gas arc welding and so on.
- Generally, welding torch which is utilized for welding like gas shielded arc welding is cleaned and/or changed the parts before the use.
- Conventionally, tools as prior art for cleaning and changing of parts of welding torch are known to use together with several kind of tools, that is,cutting pliers, cutting nippers, screw driver or steel bar etc.. For example, cutting pliers or cutting nippers have mainly cut a wire of welding torch, and it is difficult to clean inside face of nozzle, to change nozzle, insulated part or tip by these tools. Screw driver or steel bar has mainly cut off spatters adhered on inside face, outside face and end face of nozzle of welding torch. But screw driver and steel bar are apt to hurt nozzle. Consequently, life of welding torch have be shorten.
- Thus, with regard to cleaning and changing of welding torch, unitary tool which is useful is not known.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide a cutting pliers which be capable of cleaning and changing of parts of welding torch by a unit.
- To accomplish the above object, a cutting pliers is comrised of pinching part for pinching and pulling, angle part for cleaning, face part for cleaning, hammer face for striking, cutting edge and two gripping parts that be different in size.
-
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention.
- Figure 2 is a plan view thereof.
- Figure 3 and 4 are perspective views thereof in explaning the operation of the invention. Figure 3 shows the operation about changing nozzle of welding torch. Figure 4 shows the operation about changing tip of the welding torch by small gripping part and cutting wire of welding torch by cutting edge.
- Figure 5 to 7 are partial diagrammatic view thereof in explaning the operation of the invention. Figure 5 shows about cleaning of inside face of nozzle by angle part. Figure 6 shows about cleaning of inside and outside faces of nozzle by pinching part. Figure 7 shows about cleaning of end face of nozzle by face part.
- Refering to the drawings as Figure 1 and 2, a pair of cutting pliers has pinching part 1,
angle part 2,face part 3 for cleaning of the end face ofnozzle 11 ofwelding torch 10,hammer face 4, small grippingpart 5 fortip 12 ofwelding torch 10,cutting edge 6, big grippingpart 7 fornozzle 11 ofwelding torch 15, spring 8 and handle 9. - Pinching part 1 is formed by a pair of taping shapes which have a notching faces confronted one another. Pinching part 1 can pinch and pull a
wire 13 ofwelding torch 10 by notching faces. -
Angle parts 2 are formed at out side face of pinching part 1 and are comprised of four angles which are formed about right angle. -
Face parts 3 have two plane faces which are formed to about right angle direction toward projecting direction ofangle part 2. -
Hammer faces 4 are two plane faces which are formed at both sides of out side face of cutting pliers.Hammer faces 4 are shaped protruding faces from out side face of cutting pliers. - Small gripping
part 5 is a gap which is formed by a pair of arc or semicircular shaped parts. A pair of arc shaped parts have notching faces at inside faces thereof. Diameter of a gap of small grippingpart 5 is similar or less size to diameter oftip 12 ofwelding torch 10. - Cutting
edge 6 is formed by a pair of edge which is formed to continue fromsmall grip part 5. - Big gripping
part 7 is a gap which is formed by a pair of arc or semicircular shaped parts. A pair of arc or semicircular shaped parts have notching faces at inside faces thereof.Diameter of a gap of big grippingpart 7 is bigger than small grippingpart 5 and is similar or less size to diameter ofnozzle 11 and insulatedpart 15 ofwelding torch 10. - Spring 8 is made at position between a pair of
handles 9 like urging a pair ofhandles 9 toward outside. - The operation of the cutting pliers will be explained as following.
-
Wire 13 connected withtip 12 ofwelding torch 10 is pinched and pulled out by pinching part 1.Cutting edge 6 can also cut Wire 13 suitably. - Big gripping
part 7 can gripnozzle 11 and/or insulatedpart 15 securely and turn it simply like Figure 3. By this movement, nozzle 11 and/or insulatedpart 15 are detached or attached and changed for new parts thereof. -
Angle part 2 can cleanspatters 14 adhered to inside face ofnozzle 11 like Figure 5. - Pinching part 1 can clean
spatters 14 adhere to inside and outside faces ofnozzle 11 like Fugure 6. -
Spatters 14 adhered to end face ofnozzle 11 can be cleaned byface part 3 like Fig.7. - Hammer face 4 can strike a
nozzle 11 in order to take outspatters 14. - Small gripping
part 5 can griptip 12 securely and tune it simply, then can detach or attach and can change for new parts thereof. - In the said way,the invention can clean and change any parts of welding torch simply and securely by a unit tool.
