- the impact press according to the invention is characterized in that said exhaust device comprises two connecting rods articulated one on the other at one end and the other end of which is articulated respectively on the hammer and on the workpiece carrier, a return spring tending to bring the connecting rods into an alignment position in which the articulation axes are aligned along a straight line parallel to the movement of the mechanism, one of the connecting rods comprising a ramp with which an axis cooperates secured to the slide.

- a return spring 16 acting on the axis 10 tends to unfold the toggle joint 17.
- the axis 15 which previously slid in the cutout 13, comes into contact with the ramp 14.
- the slider 1 drives the axis 15 which attacks the ramp 14 and thus spreads the connecting rod 8 to the right (in the drawing).
- the axis 10 is no longer aligned with the axes 11 and 12, so that the toggle 7 is no longer rigid and folds back. This folding allows the hammer 3 to strike the tool holder 6 under the action of the spring 4 ( Figure 3).
- a stop 17 secured to the frame 2 can be provided which stops the tool holder 6.
