  • An advantage of the mechanism according to the invention is a possibility to control various numbers of the stitch cams varying in dependence of the type of the machine and this enables to modify the cam system for example from a machine designed to produce jersey fabric to a machine to produce lay-in or plush fabrics.
  • Another advantage is that it is possible to adjust all stitch cams collectively to the same position and in individual system it is possible to adjust the stitch cams according to the need.
  • Stitch cams 1, 2, 3, 4 are located in a holder 6 with which they are inserted in a cam block 5 and control the needles 10 which are placed in a needle bed 7.
  • the stitch cams 1, 2, 3, 4, are set in the required positions by means of a ring 8 provided with threaded part 18 screwed into a thread in a cam carrier 17 and by means of a gear ring 9 via an auxiliary pin 13 which is provided with a protrustion 11 which by the action of a spring 12 leans against the upper surface 14 of a groove provided in the ring 8.
